  3. Don't you love waking up in the morning and feeling the skin tightened overnight with inches gone from the sides? You know that feeling, don't you! Even before getting up out of bed you know, you just know and can feel it in your bones, that the scales is going to show something good, that the mirror is going to reflect something good, that the clothes are going to fit just a little better. It happened to me this morning. I got on the scale and was down 5 lb overnight. I could just feel it in my body when I first woke up. Felt great!!!

    Best coffee drink poll

Now I thought everyone in the Seattle area like their latte this and their mocha that given the infusion of Starbucks stores and local baristas. Lol. Maybe that is more true of my generation (i am 36) and younger. Now I know better.

    Best coffee drink poll

My yummy iced coffee of the day. 1.5 tbsp coconut creamer, 4 tsp Splenda and coffee. My wife's coffee of the day. Cappuccino with 4 tsp Splenda and 8 oz frothed milk: I like to have these also during the week.

Good for you to drink coffee without any creamer. I could never do that. the taste is just not right for me. I think Laura said she likes her coffee black also.

Chew the calcium chews (little treat for morning) 2. 32 oz Water (take all pills) 3. 10 oz green drink 4. Add Protein powder to chia seed mix 5. Drink Protein Drink These steps usually take about 30 minutes.
  8. We use a salad dressing made by Bolthouse that uses yogurt instead of high fat to create a fully body and good taste. A serving is 45 calories. I like to put even less of a serving on my lunch salad that I eat with my protein. My favorite flavor is their honey mustard, but I think they make all flavors with yogurt from 1000 island to blue cheese. Fat is also low by nature of yogurt. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

    Desert nostalgia

I had my casein chocolate protein shake a few minutes ago and feeling better. mmm, chocolate. Just as an fyi- the casein protein is definitely more satisfying then whey protein when you need something in the evening. Again, it is weird. This is the first time I had had these dessert battles. Literally only tonight. Now good riddance to them!!

    Desert nostalgia

I don't what it is and am having trouble putting my finger on it. Maybe I have buried some of these food issues when I decided to live a healthy lifestyle. They are rising from my cemetery of bones.

    Living with a gourmet chef

Sometimes it is a blessing (rave) and a curse (rant) to live with a gourmet chef wife as a post op. she really loves cooking and loves to share her masterpieces with others ( her love language). As a post op, there is a definite focus that is required to stay on plan and live that healthy and active lifestyle. It is so hard sometimes. For example, this morning it is a curse (rant) that she made some apple crisp dessert for her plant sale she is going to. It has layers of brown sugar crisp, cream cheese, apple pie filling, crumb top and caramel embellishments on top. Made from scratch of course. Oh how I want a piece! She even left some here for my brother while she is off at the event today. Going to stay strong though because I made it this far with being a good post op eater. Hard!! It is also a blessing (rave) that she can make gourmet healthy dishes. For example last night we had a chicken curry casserole that has chicken, cream of mushroom, Indian spices, chile pepper chopped broccoli and a few other ingredients. Typically, we used to eat that with rice and cheddar cheese on top. however, I now can eat about 1/3 a cup of this dish without the rice and cheese and get high Protein, good veggie serving and it is full of yummy Indian flavor. My wife and brother eat it with the rice and cheese. She is also very good at making other healthy gourmet dishes.

Thanks, I am really looking forward to it!!
  15. Thai restaurants have a lot of good healthy choices. You just need to avoid the dishes that are noodle based. I have been ordering swimming Rama (a chicken, spinach and peanut sauce entree). If all else fails, chicken satay is delish!.

To track or not to track?

I try and eat up to 1600 calories of protein, veggies and now some fruit!! It is hard to meet those goals on some days, but try and eat every 2 or 3 hours.
  18. Yes, that is my wife and she is the gourmet chef! The curry casserole is really tasty. She said she will post it tomorrow in the recipe forum.

What is the normal amount of time for weight loss?

Oops -didn't know I walked into the ladies room. Lol. There needs to be a bigger sign on the door. Seriously, I am just responding to posts in the current list and had no idea....but sometimes it is fun to sneak in here and see what is going on. I am sure y'all are checking out the fun times we are having over in the man cave.

    So many problems

Can we request that the new offline notifications mode be backwards compatible? That is, the default behavior is the old notifications behavior where updates are available immediately. Members then have an option to use the new offline behavior if they set preferences to do so. This is a good way to introduce functionality in software. It is not good to shock and awe user with new functionality that they did not ask for especially if it breaks existing workflows that they depend on.

What is the normal amount of time for weight loss?

A lot of people lose their weight between 6-9 months. Some are done sooner and some will keep losing up to 18 months or longer. It all depends on the type of diet and exercise plan you adopt. My weight loss finished at month 7. I had a pretty good loss rate andi attribute it to eating low carb and participating in a mild exercise plan. My exercise plan became much more involved after I reached goal. I think a lot of post op find themselves getting more and more active as the weight comes off.
