I have BCBS, and I know that my insurance considers your weight from your first appointment and prior. They understand that once you begin the process you will probably lose weight. As for the comorbidities, every insurance company is different. I know mine consideres osteoarthritis to be a comorbidity, and others do not. Good Luck in your journey! -

Yes. I've being sleeved tomorrow and have really been second guessing myself.But deep down I know this is something I need to do for my health and quality of life. Sure I've lost a little weight before but I've always gained it back. For me, what it boils down to is what do do I love more-life or food? -

Oh I'm so sorry you are feeling like poo I've heard from so many people that the frist couple of days are the worst, and people are often wondering why on earth they got the surgery! But it gets better and it turns out to be the best decision they ever made! I am being sleeved tomorrow and told my husband to remind me of this when I am lying in bed complaining. Keep us posted, just know it will get better!

Just try to keep perspective. This is a new way of life, not a race. If you were trying to lose weight before your surgery, and were losing over a pound a day, I'm guessing you would be doing a big happy dance. Just think of where you will be in another two weeks, and then another, and so on! Try to keep the bigger picture in mind, and don't let the numbers control you. -

Okay I'm so glad you are getting a new doc! It's concerning your doc doesn't seem to want what is best for you... Anyways, once you see the new doc, hopefully they will recommend surgery and get the process rolling. As far as comorbidities-have you ever had problems with sleeping, blood sugars, infertility, blood pressure, arthritis? Like others have said, document document, document! -

I had a mini-meltdown putting my son down tonight. :-( I'm just so scared to leaving him behind! He is my inspiration. I want to be healthy to enjoy life with him. I'm just so scared. In 48 hours my surgery will be over and I'll be recovering!! I can't believe it. I am struggling to stay positive tonight. Please pray for me ladies. -

Well the hospital just called and gave me a time for surgery on Thursday! This is really happening!! Be there by 5:30 am for 7:30 surgery. My anxiety just spiked! LoL -

I'm getting sleeved on Thursday, but I definitely plan on having more children. It is recommended you wait 12-18 months after surgery. -

Too funny!! I'm scheduled to get my brows and my hair did tomorrow! We girls gotta look good when we get the majority of our stomachs removed! Joyce, I am so there with you. I have been feeling pretty confident about my decision. Today my nerves took over. I have been second guessing myself all day and replaying the worse case scenarios.
