My surgery is the 14th with Dr. Lopez. I will be across the border in California. I think that any surgeon you choose will do a great job. That being said my surgery is 4700.00 for the sleeve. I leaving out of KC and round trip was $350.00. airline is delta one way and the other is us air. Day of the week and times plays a good part of how much you pay. Also how far In advance you book. That you both so much. Maybe it was nerves kicking in. Hate tests anyway so not sure why I am concerned. I have complete faith that everything will go great. I may never look as good as my picture again, several years between then and now but am sure gonna try. I am one of those women that is going screaming in to old age. Vain well yes! I want to wear dresses again, I want my legs not to rub and my boobs to be in front not under my arms. I don't want to carry all this weight around until I am so sick from all the side affects of it that I have no life. Like my son said only so many years left and I should make them count. Emptynesterpam....your surgery with dr Lopez, can you tell me what test did he run before surgery? I am going on the 24th. After reading on the forum about all the test in the US I began to wonder if I needed to have some done before I went. Nerves maybe? Lol. Really can't wait. Want this done now! Thank you. I am on the 24th. Going to Mi hospital and staying at the Marriott. Glad to hear that it is as good as I was told. So have a question--- before you went did you have any test done in the states? My pcp isn't included in this. He says I will need to find another pcp to treat me. Narrow minded man. Anyway reading the posts for US surgerys everyone is getting alots of test. I have no real health problems and that's partly why I want the surgery now before my weight causes them. What tests do they do in Mexico? Sent from my iPad using VST

Miss...glad that your doing better. From everything I have read slow losses are the best. Nothing good is ever easy they say. When is vacation time ever bad? We live on a small farm and my husband works from home so my vacations are far and few. Please keep me posted on your progress. Kind of feels like ones success is everyone's success! Thank you so much for the info on Dr Lopez. I will be having surgery on the 24th. Samuel is to de our driver as well. A Molly or ? Is the patient caregiver. My husband is going with. I received loads of information but feel much better knowing what someone else really went through. The decision to have surgery was easy compared to the waiting and not knowing what to expect. Not much out there about Dr. Lopez and nothing bad that I could find. I went through alighterme. Total cost for surgery was 4700.00. Much less than here in states. I got a med size travel pillow. It is filled with beads and is very firm. Tried walking around with it in target am sure people thought I was crazy. Lol. Not good at sleeping away from home so probably will not need the ear plugs or eye mask. Need to know what is going on ya know! Read on one thread that should take packages of broth as it is impossible to find in airports. Flying for several hours and have an hour layover. Can always find hot Water. I have a Ninja. Got it to do one of the many failed attempts at dieting. The sugar fee candies are on my list of to gets. Got stomach pillow and new heat pad yesterday. Got lip balm and gas x the other day. Shopping helps me kill the days to my surgery. Otherwise I would never get off this site! Starting the pre surgery diet today. So far not crazy about the Protein shakes but can do anything for short time. Poor husband is not sure he will live through all of it. Hoping he will do it next summer or sooner. MGM, have you checked with your iPhone carry about get the international calling? I am not taking my phone as if I even turn it on it will take a big hit. My husband uses his for work so we put the calling plan on his. Had to do 3 different additions..calling, data, and messaging. Taking both IPads his for work mine because it has all my books. I have not read any posts about the flavored cool aide sugar free that you just add to a bottle of Water lots of flavors also there is the crystal lite ones too. Thought I would put in my carry one. What an experience... My surgery is on the 24th of July in Mexico. It is a present from my husband. He must have gotten tired of me being tired and complaining. He is the one that has done all the research and then presented it to me. Am I a lucky lady or what.. I would like to be added to this group for the 24th, please. Thank you. On another blog I found a list of things that was put together by ones that have gone before as to the things that make life a little easier while in the hospital.
