    I Am Ashamed/embarassed

It's ok. Don't be too hard on yourself. When you go to the doctor why don't you ask them about optifast. I had to drink shakes and eat bars for two weeks before surgery then two days before surgery I cheated as my "last meal" thing. You need to try to really stay strong and tell yourself "I can do this. This is temporary and for my surgery. I might be hungry now, but it will help for the long run. I can do this. If they can, I can." It's all about your mind set. Message me if you want to talk more.
  2. Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that...that just isn't fair...I will keep you in my prayers, girl! Keep the faith <3

    Pureed Foods

I'm only one week out, but I like to plan ahead so I'm trying to plan the different kind of pureed foods I'll be having when it's time for me to have it. Do any of you have different recipes that you would like to share to avoid getting bored with the puree stage?

    Food Dreams

LOL omgosh I'm not alone! I'm 6 days out and the night before I had a dream I was only 2 days out and already stuffing my face with french fires and ice cream. I woke up like ...uhm. ew because when I'm awake I'm not hungry at all or thinking about foods like that anymore. I don't know if it's 'normal' but you're not alone

    My First Appointment

Congratulations on taking your steps to a better, happier and healthier life! I did the SAME thing last year. I wanted to do the band, but the doctor told me the same thing about it and then we decided on the sleeve. When it got closer to my surgery I chickened out and decided to try one more time to lose the weight myself all because I was scared. I lost a little lbs but then gained it all back. Finally I went through with it and had my surgery on july 2nd of this year. It's scary to think of the surgery, but it's all worth it. I'm 6 days post op and I feel great, it was the best decision I ever made. I've already lost 10 lbs as of last night. As long as you have a positive mindset, great support system and do your diet the way you're supposed to everything will be perfectly fine. Message me if you ever want to talk more. -B

    Feeling Overwhelmed

First of, your blog is your blog. It's a place to share what you're going through, your feelings, ect. There's no doing it wrong. Second, I 100% can relate to that. I LOVED drinking my water. I drank at least 6 bottles a day. I miss it a lot, but maybe its not the water that isn't agreeing with you maybe it's the amount you're consuming at one time? Like if you're drinking from a bottle/cup, you're probably taking too big of a swallow and that can cause the pain. Took me two days to figure that one out. lol

Day 6 And Slightly Tired But Feeling Good.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat, but at least she will be taken care of properly and you have more time to rest. I'm on day 6, too, but I'm surprisingly not as tired as I imagined. I think it's because along with drinking my soups and my protein drinks I'm also taking my vitamins in the morning. It also helps to have a set schedule when it comes to sleeping. Congrats!!
  11. I want to start working out already! Only 6 days post op. I'm so bored being "fragile" at home. >.

My First 10 Lb Loss Is Bittersweet

Today marks my first 10 lbs loss since my surgery on Monday, July 2nd. I was so happy and so excited, but then I began thinking about a lot of things. The lbs are melting off of me, but my best friend who is actually working VERY hard to lose weight without surgery hit a plateau she hasn't been able to move from for a while now. It's not fair and I feel so guilty. Before this surgery I tried everything to lose weight and I would only lose about 40 lbs then I couldn't lose anymore. I tried for years until I finally decided to have surgery. I know I should be happy and excited for myself, this surgery was the best thing to ever happen to me but I'm so depressed for my friend. She's does everything she can and still isn't seeing results she should be seeing. It's just not fair. I just needed to vent. I needed to let all this guilt out.

My First 10 Lb Loss Is Bittersweet

Even though I feel terrible because it is painful to see her struggle, I told myself continuously last night that I need to be happy for my accomplishments and just be there for her in her time of struggle. I've been waiting so long to finally get healthy and stay healthy, I can't let any negativity get in the way of that. Thank you for your response and it's nice to know someone else is feeling what I am. xx
  16. I should be beyond happy about my 10lb loss, but all I feel now is guilt.

  18. Today marks my first 10 lbs loss! 10 lbs in 5 days! AH!!!

  19. Hey there! You can just call me Blossom. I'm 21 years old and I was sleeved on July 2nd! My surgeon is Dr. Neil Floch and he is a God send. Very kind, funny and caring man and I am so grateful that he did my surgery. He made me feel so safe before getting the procedure, if someone else was doing it I probably would have backed out. Hm, I'm not sure what else to write so I'll just say whatever comes to mind. Being only 4 days out, I am doing surprisingly well. I figured I would have more pain and be this miserable bedridden person, but I’m the exact opposite. I did have very strong pains due to the air they pumped me up with, it was beyond uncomfortable, but that feeling is all gone. That was actually worse than the actual procedure itself. What helped was all the walking I did. A couple hours after surgery and I was already walking around the east and west wing of the 6th floor of the hospital lol The first day I came home I was weak and tired because I no longer had the IV keeping me hydrated, but now I’m waking up early making sure I take my Vitamins and the right amounts of fluids as well as walking around every couple hours I feel fantastic. A little sore, but fantastic. I can’t wait for finally get out there, work out and live my life the way I was meant to live it. No more couch potato here! Before I was embarrassed, I felt like getting this surgery was the easy way out, but it’s not, it’s a helpful tool and takes a lot of hard work if you want to see real results. Also, I’ve already lost 7lbs! whoot! Lol xx Blossom

    So Overwhelmed! Help!

I was on the same boat as you just last week lol I'm 4 days out now and I'm glad I did it. It helps to keep in mind the longer, healthier, happier life that will be ahead once you have your surgery. The night before I couldn't sleep, I was freaking out and scared, but then I kept thinking to myself how much better everything will be after. If you keep that in mind, you will do just fine and you will be fine. (You must also follow whatever plan the doctor tells you to follow, it helps, BIG time.) Stay optimistic!
