  1. I'm 5'5" 1/2, my original goal weight was 175. I'm a curvy girl. But I'm thinking that might not be good enough now. Idk. I weight 195 right now, 4 months out. I was just wondering what your goal weight was? I have a medium frame.

    Where Is Everyone From?

I live in Elkridge bordering Columbia! How far are you in your journey?

    Sushi ?

I'm a little over 4 months out. I eat sushi all the time. If I get a roll I ask them to make it with less rice. Just so I can actually eat more of it. I will eat 3-4 pieces of it depending on how prissy my stomach is being. I've been eating sushi (rolls/sushi/sashimi) since a little over two months out.
  4. I quit my NUT because she's an actual nut and I get nothing out of it! They can't make you go.

  6. How long is the recovery time for a tummy tuck and a breast lift? I'm only 4 months out from vsg, but I'm assuming I'm going to need these.

    Recovery for plastics

Thanks for all the info everyone! I'm 35-40 lbs until goal and am assuming I'm going to need a tummy tuck and at least a breast lift. A friend of mine got her insurance to pay for her tummy tuck, I'm not quite sure how though. That would always be nice.
  8. ONEDERLAND baby! That was actually the day after Christmas! I'm 196.8 today. 4 months out on 1/4/13.

    Onederland

Thank you! I always found ONEDERLAND pics inspiring and thought I would share mine. It still doesn't quite seem real. So happy!
  10. Never gained but I'm only 4 months out on 1/4/13.
  11. I don't know if I was ever supposed to drink Gatorade but I did and still do. It was a lifesaver. But I chose to drink G2.

    Would you do it again?

I'm almost 4 months out and yes I would definitely do it again. 66 pounds gone and no complications. It wasn't the easiest for me right after surgery, but I would do it all over again!
  13. Hi, I have hypothyroidism and PCOS. Both can cause you to be tired and lose hair amongst other things. I had surgery 9/4/12 and as of today have lost 66 pounds. I've lost a little hair, but it already seems to be coming back. And the tiredness is just now starting to improve. Your body needs to heal. The doctor told me with some people it can take 3-4 months to get your normal energy back after this surgery. But of course it depends on the person.

The numbers are moving for me and I just convince myself that I will eventually see it! I'm very happy regardless!

    5 Confessions (Join In)

More confessions: (I confessed about a month and a half ago) 6) I confess that I don't tell people that I have had this surgery. Reason being if they tell me I'm cheating or anything of that nature I will have to punch them in the face. 7) I confess I feel that I don't deserve all this weight I am losing. I have had to try so hard in the past because of my pcos and hypothyroid and I would lose maybe 20lbs and then gain it back much more. Compared to those days...this seems easy breezy, because I'm not completely starving. 8) I confess that I hate skinny people who can eat whatever they want! 9) I confess that I at 3 bites of a McDouble yesterday (for the first time in my life I had a McDouble) I have my monthly (sorry men) and had a craving so I allowed myself, had 3 bites and now that craving is gone. 10) I confess that I have some kind of body dysmorphia. I don't see myself as looking different at all and as of today I have lost 58 pounds. How can you not see 58 pounds. I keep monthly photos and measurements, so that helps. I can see it when I look at the pictures.
  16. I'm almost three months out and I can drink tall glasses of anything. I wouldn't say you can guzzle it, but you will be able to drink all of what you have in a glass.

    5 Confessions (Join In)

I confess that I'm 2 months out in 2 days and I haven't been to the gym yet. I confess today I ate 2 funsized butterfingers (Halloween candy) I confess that I don't count calories, fat, or carbs. I just count protein and water and I've still lost 43 lbs. I confess that I now think its disgusting the amount of food my husband eats at dinner and it almost pisses me off cause he's not fat. I confess that I thought I already looked hot at 263 pounds and now I just think I'm hotter. (It may just be a backwards body dismorphia thing though lol)
  18. My doctor said I would have 4-6 and I woke up with 7. Some are just little spots though. I'm 2 months out and they already look a thousand times better.

    Dent

I had a really bad dent on my big incision. It mostly went away at 4 weeks, only I could tell a little. And 2 months out it's completely gone. I was really paranoid about it and I asked everyone. I'm sure it will go away soon.
  20. Has anyone ever done a laser treatment for hair loss?
  21. VSGRachel

    Hair Rejuvenation Laser

I have used laser hair removal on my legs, arms, underarms, and bikini. It all worked very well but it is a long process and you have to go back many time. It was worth it too me. The hair rejuvenation laser is supposed to be a low light and not hurt at all. There is a groupon for 15 sessions for $99 in my area so I was thinking of trying it. IDK
  22. Congrats! Yay we weigh the same today! I just got to 225 also today. Starting at 263, I was sleeved on 9/4.
  23. Three or four little pieces of my husbands funnel cake with powdered sugar all over it. If I just have a few bites not often I think it's ok. It only happened once and I didn't feel guilty at all.

    Pcos, Birth Control, Post-Op?

Yes I started using it about 2 weeks before surgery.
