Has anyone tried this program? If so, tell me all about it!
-
That's great! Good luck with everything I'm sure you'll be up and at it in no time!
-
That's awesome, I'm hoping I'll love it too. I'm trying to take it really slowly. Good luck with your race in September!
-
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! Yeah I definitely would love to be wonderful at it right off the bat but I know there's no way that's happening. I'm taking it slow and realizing it won't be an overnight thing even thigh I would love it to be. What kind of workouts do you do for your core?
-
Thank you for the advice. I started a few days ago and have started a little slower than what the program calls for. My goal for my workouts definitely isn't to run a marathon, right now its to walk a large flight of stairs without gasping for air. It feels really good to get my heart rate going. When I'm near the end of my workout out, I slow it down and don't just stop. It's very rewarding!

My doc tells me to he on liquids two days after fills. Anyone know the reasoning?
-
Thanks yall! I'm really excited to try it now.. I'm definitely going to have to start off slow though. Haha

Thanks yall!

I have an older version of the lap band that only holds 3ccs. The green zone is basically the ideal place to be with eating. You eat the portion size you are suppose to and you don't throw up or get anything stuck. I was highly.addicted to my caffeine a few weeks ago! Had the horrible caffeine headache but now I'm okay. I don't way any "white" foods because they are too much of a temptation for me to fall back into my old habits. I'm from the south and my granny loves to cook for me.. it was always homemade buttermilk biscuits, rice, MAC and cheese, fried chicken. Basically all the things that will clog your arteries! I'm staying away from those sliders too. I love pasta and rice but have come to the realization I can't eat that stuff!

Good morning fellow lap banders! I hope you all have a wonderful day! Someone told me a few days ago," if you mess up, don't beat yourself up. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on going!" If today you feel discouraged just remember our main goal is to be healthy. Remember we are all here for eachother and if you need to talk, talk to me! God Bless, Cortney

Is 5.5 Cc Alot To Have In Your Band A Yr Out
CS2388 replied to joleng5's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've had mine for 5 years and only have 2 ccs... I wish my doc would pump me up. They stress no bread, no bread, no bread. Does your doctor say you can eat bread or discourage it? I was successful at first but gained all of the weight back. I'm pretty sure I have the old band that will only hold 3 ccs. -

Does anyone know a good recipe for fish?

I drink nothing but Water. For Breakfast I have a whey Protein drink with 8 oz skim milk. For lunch I've been doing a light salad with chicken or chicken salad with celery, low fat mayo with olive oil on a bed of lettuce and a fruit for supper some sort of grilled meat with lettuce and a fruit.. walking/jogging a little in the evening. One night I just turned my music up and danced for as long as I could, I almost coughed up a lung but it got my heart rate going. I take a multi Vitamin daily and I log everything I eat into a journal so I can hold myself accountable. I dont eat any white foods and I cut myself off before I'm full. If I get hungry between meals I eat a few natural almonds!

At 18 years old I had the lap band procedure. I was successful at first and lost nearly 80 lbs. I was on cloud nine! My success did not continue because of poor choices made. Lap band is not a miracle procedure, you have to work at your health. I guess as a naive 18 year old I thought differently. I am now 23 years old and weigh more than my pre-op weight. I'm not an adult and sick of it!! I decided nearly 2 weeks ago I want my life back.. I have lost 10 lbs so far. I guess the moral of this story is lap band is a tool not a magic fix. If you get off the wagon like myself, it will be there. If you eat the wrong foods don't beat yourself up like I did, keep pursuing your healthy weight. I'm so thankful for the lap band, it is wonderful! Good luck to all of you who have just started your journey. If you ever feel like giving up please contact me, I can give you a few good reasons not to! God Bless, Cortney
