    Completely Given Up

first of all..... congratulations for those 40 l s lost!!!! its a lot of weight! if you think of it, its what a pre-k child weighs! I think that one of the hardest things about this surgery is the psychological and emotional part. we have ups and downs, and mourn food, and then feel "different", and so on. I havenoticed that sometimes I feel "hungry" when its only thirst, .. have you tried drinking water ? does it help? are you following any nutritional plan? maybe if you ate only protein and no carbs you would feel better! Keep on tryingthings, switching things here and thereand see what works for you. Dont give up! dont feel like a failire! you are really doing great! 40 pounds!!! and as long as the scale keeps going down and not up..... thats awesome!( atleastfor me )
  2. I guess it depends on your NUT!!! at 3 weeks postop i was eating mushy foods, and tried everything here and there, but i habe not has any carbs. ny NUT said no flour, rice, potatoes,: sugar or any carb until i get to my goal weight!! :S

  5. wow! congratulations to ya'll!!! I am so proud of you! Its the little thing that have made me FEEL happy ( no matter how better we look or how much we lose, right?) buying smaller sizes, buying "normal clothes" and just feeling better! keep it up!!! xoxo!
  6. wow! im so sorry you are feeling so bad! To be honest, i dis have some discomfort for two days but nothing as bad! and my incisions are 5, 4 of them are unoticeable already )im 3 months postop. and there was just one that was like 3/4 of an inch, why is yours so big? have you seen other patients?
  7. hi guys! its been almost 3 months out, and I am doing great! however, I have a hard time drinking my 68 oz of water. I have noticed I pee like 3 x a day..... and am worried its too little! is everybody out there the same? or is it only me? Should I drink more water?

  10. hello! I'm 11 weeks postop, and I am currently taking the bariatric advantage iron chewable tablets, and they are pretty tasty, however....... i hate the aftertaste!!!! Its nasty!!! I take ir right before bedtime..... any ideas on when to take it? or what other iron tablets?
  11. omg!! I am so glad to hear I'm not alone!!!! thank you guys!!! My doctor is super experienced, but doesnt really deal with the food and vitamin part of this process, .... we talk to our NUT about those things, and she is aware of the bariatric advantage yuckiness, however i also feel like my doctors office try to push patients to buy those products, and if its not BA its not good enough.
  12. I used to love food, enjoyed eating, and everything was related to food,.. and after 2 months postop, my relationship with food is so different. I have no cravings, no desire to eat, no interest in food whatsoever. I feel stuffed all day, and I feel afraid of mealtimes. I eat to provide my body with nutrients, but is feels more like doing laudry , and no enjoyment. Sometimes I wish I could get what my body needs by pills. Am I the only one experiencing this?
  13. I am 2 mos. postop and have been doing great with food, eating very little but consistently..... until today. ...... I felt nauseated, and just not interested in food, or water. not even "forbidden" food....I feel over stuffed but very weak......however i cant make myself eat anything........ is this a normal thing? are these days normal!?
  14. may 1st, down 45 lbs postop!!

Eating Is Like Doing Laundry Now

wow! congratulations!!! that is amazing!! I am glad I am not hungry, but I guess I still mourn food or at least the Happiness that used to come with food ..... however I do feel pressure to eat and it seems like its a job now! i need to reach certain protein levels, and so on...... and feel like a failure when I just cant eat !!! i am afraid I will lose my hair !
