I have the lap band since 2008 and want to try the sleeve. I have basic federal bc/bs. Do you know if they will pay for you to have another sgy? They paid all but my copay for sgy and physician fee before. The also paid all but 175 when I breast reduction.

I have realize band and have not had a single problem with my band.

ajoneen I am with you. I have put off my appts with my fill nurse b/c I keep gaining. I have had three epidural and 3 series of steroid shots in my back and all I want to do is eat. I had my sgy in 03/2008.

I had my lap-band sgy in 03/07/2008 and I lost 40 and gained almost all of it back. I am thinking about doing the bypass, but not sure if my insurance will allow it. I am not sure what to do.

I just got a few doctors recomended to me to have a breast reduction and I was just wondering how long they told you before you can be up and going again? I hate to miss a lot of work.

I have only lost 40 lbs since my sgy. I get compliments every day b/c I have lost inches. I still see the same person I was. I need to learn to just say thank you and go on. I am bad about saying thanks, but the scale has not moved.

I was doing pretty good, but then I put a few lbs back on. I am no where near my goal, but I am ready to start really changing things and see if that helps. I have just been coasting along and not really losing any. My 1 year is coming up and I have only lost 30 lbs.

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one stuck. I was banded on 03/08 and I have only lost 30 lbs. I walk everyday and nothing. I know it has to be what I am eating, but it still drives me crazy that I am not losing. I dread going back to the doctor, b/c I am sure everyone is doing better than me.

I think the hardest thing for me was when I stopped losing and just stayed the same. When I stated losing again it was so wonderful. There are a lot of ups and downs, but I am so glad I got the band. Even when I mess up and it I can not hold my dinner down!:thumbup:

How did your meeting at Dress Barn go Tuesday?

Call Christy in Dr. Baker's office. She can usually tell you what each insurance will cover. I know she did with my insuance and my sisters.

Girl you better come one. Flowergurl is fixing to pass me up! I am down almost 30 lbs. I am almost to my first goal of being under 200 lbs. :rolleyes2: Going to work hard this week to get closer to my goal. Went and bought a new shirt and HELLO it is a 16-18 sure beats a 22 wide. Hopefully next I can buy clothes in the normal sizes instead of having to go find the plus sizes. :girl_hug:

Does anybody know when the hairloss will stop? I am so tired of washing my hair and it falling out. It is not much, but it is a pain. :crying:

Hi everyone. I have not been on for awhile. My computer crashed at home. Hopefully it will be up and running by this weekend. I am up to 6cc and let me tell you, it will make you think twice about what you eat. It hurts if you make a mistake! I have not lost very much, but I did eat cake this weekend.

Hey Bandster, I live outside of Cabot. Maybe can get a walking group together or something.

The kind you get from the doc is so gross. The Atkins is pretty good.

I am in the same boat. I was banded on 03/05/2008. I have not lost a single pound in over 2 months. It is driving me crazy. I know I have lost some inches, but I am ready to have to buy clothes again. I hate going to the doc for my fills b/c It looks like I am not trying. I have a realize band with 5cc in it and I can barely tell there is any restriction. :eek:

Me to. I have not heard anything about this doctor, but it would not surprise me.

Thanks josiebies. This makes me feel much better. I weight everyday. I know I should not do it, but I end up doing it anyways. I am going to start the journal and see if it helps.

I had my sgy 03/05/08 and the last two months have not lost a pound. I am walking everyday and doing pretty well on my food. I mess up sometimes. It is driving me crazy. Somethimes I start feeling sorry for my self. I know I have to keep going, but sometime I wonder why I keep walking if I am not going to lose. Ok my self pitty minute is over!!! I just needed to vent. I have only lost 26lbs total. I have the realize band with 3.8 cc in it.

I had Federal BC/BS so I don't know about the medicare. I work in a hospital and a few of the nurses I know, use to work at Baptist and they said he was there favorite doctor. They said he is always so careful with his patients. My GYN even said he is the doctor she would trust for sgy. She is not associated with Baptist. I was really happy with them. I hope everything goes well for you.

Dr. Baker did my sgy and I love him and his staff. I would suggest him to anybody.

I had the lap band on 3/5/08 with Dr. Baker in LR. I used Federal BC/BS and they paid everything within a month of having the sgy. I don't regret having the sgy at all. I am stuck right now, but I am going to start a food journal and see where I am messing up. :rolleyes2:
