    Dry Skin

So very dry, I am olived skin and never burn or peel or anything and all of a sudden all my skin is funky flaky. I was thinking maybe not enough fluids.

    Calling All Low Bmi (Ers)

You bet! I am 5'5, started at 217 and was sleeved three weeks ago. Now I am 196,so 21 pounds in three weeks. Last time I lost around 20 pounds it took me 5 months and then I gained it all back. I also did this on the proverbial down low . Love my sleeve!

Got Denied By Ins...need Loan Advise..

I used a withdraw from my 401K to go to Mexico. My surgery cost 5500. Most surgeons list the finance company the use on their website, but I have not seen any with zero intrest unless you pay it off within a short term like 6-12 months. Good Luck, I hope you come up with a plan that works for you.

    Salsa- When Is It Allowed?

I enjoy salsa now, at three weeks out. I put it on my re fried beans and on my egg (singular) . Everyone is different thought so proceed with caution your first time.

    August Sleevers..what Is The Progress

Sleeved 08/18. Down from 217 to 198 (19 pounds). I have struggled to get my liquids in, I get one premium protein shake in at breakfasts. The rest of the day I usually fit in 4-8 oz total of either soup ( I have become the soup master) ,refried beans, cottage cheese, babybel, SF pudding or popsicle. I measure everything and have a cute little set of 3oz bowls that I swear are the reason I am three weeks out and still never puked. I am back to work full time, but energy is still low at the end of the day so I have not started working out yet.

    No Support...

I was terrified the entire 24 hours before surgery, I was regretful the entire 24 hours after surgery. Every moment other than those as been easy peezy and one of my best decision ever! You should have support, you deserve support, but do not let the lack of it stop you from doing what is best for you.

    Crossing The Border!

Dang Chica, that is AMAZING! I am at 15 pounds total from first day of pre op diet. Agreed Suziebaby, sorry bout that. I would for sure get the passport, but if it does not arrive do not panic or cancel. Just be prepared to also bring along your Lic & birth cert for good measure. Enjoy your time in Mexico!

    Alcohol?

Oh jeez, never mind... just saw what you wrote about trying vodka drinks.

    Alcohol?

Do you like mixed drinks? Like a Tequila sunrise, or Vodka cranberry, Bloody Mary, Margarita? I would be worried about stretching your sleeve with anything carbonated. I am missing SF Red Bull like crazy! What if you let the beer go a little flat first? Would that just make it gross to drink I imagine?

    Crossing The Border!

Hey Nikiw714! I am good, the first day was hell, after that smooth sailing. How are you doing?

    Alcohol?

I feel you Skyjack1, I enjoy drinking nights with my girls also. Lucky for me I love wine so no carbonation issues to deal with, but I am curious to find out if I will become a member of the " One and Done" club with a lower tolerance. Trial and error I guess.

    Crossing The Border!

I got a passport for the trip, but on our trip back over the boarder the other two patients in the van only had their Lic & birth cert copy and no one even blinked an eye. Made me feel a lil silly for spending all that money on my passport. However... now that I have a passport and a sleeve soon I am going to use both to lay on a beach in another country in a bikini

    Just Sleeved In Mexico

Mmmmm, I have been doing a lot of Miso since getting home, an excellent choice for clear liquid time.

    Carbonated Drinks

No, they will stretch your stomach. Do not do / go thru all this pain and hard work just to undo it for a pop or beer. No Bueno!

    Moving To Full Liquids

I am only 7 days out, but for fear of taking into much and suffering the consequences I measure even my clear liquid in a 1/2 cup (4oz) measuring cup then once measured put it in my cup. I have not thrown up once yet but have felt full. Tomorrow I start full liquids also hope it works as well.
