Heyher reacted to mommy794 in 6 Mo Out Down 50, Low Bmi'er
Still feeling great and down 50 was 205 now 155. Looking pretty good for 5'0 and can wear a 6 now from American Eagle. I want to lose 20 more for sure. Maybe 25 depends how I look and feel when I get there. Honestly this has been the best thing for me. I still do eat what I want in very small portions of course. I mostly stick to portein first but if I want cake or chocolate I HAVE IT! Just alittle and I don't eat that every day of course! But I don't deprive myself. Sure if I ate ONLY what I am supped to 100% of the time and exercised way more than 2-3 times per week that im squeezing in the past 3 months I'd probably be at goal now but I'm happy the way it's going and of it takes a couple more months to get there so be it! I'm enjoying the ride!
This pic was today. Didn't buy the jeans yet waiting til I can fit into a 4! Lol.

Heyher got a reaction from Shayyt in We Own Our Perceptions
I am finally smoke free!! But one area the hypnotist talked about is our own perceptions.
Such as a roller coaster. One may think its awesome. Another may think its terrifying. Neither is wrong or right. Because at the very core it is just a roller coaster. It is how we as individuals perceive the event. Your feelings about this adventure can never be wrong or right, because they are your feelings. You own your perception of your journey. In the end strip away personal fear, hesitation, elation, denial, joy, sorrow, happy, triumph. And remember your perception of this journey is your own. And you own your journey.

Heyher got a reaction from ShouldBlittler in Please Dont Judge - Yes Or No Is Fine
No.
One puff is all it takes to go back down the smokers path.
Just remember antidepressant can take up to a month or more to fully take effect.

Heyher got a reaction from MinaT in 63 Hours
Been 63 hours since I last smoked. Physical cravings withdraw is peaking, and woke up with the "smoker cold/flu"
Mentally I just don't want or need one. But physically my body is screaming. Get past the 72 hour mark and I should start feeling much better. After nicotine is out of my system I should be much much better.
Just day three sucks no matter what method you use to quit.

Heyher got a reaction from Jeniluv1978 in Early Soft Foods
Yeah sorry, but I agree with izuri. The doctor sets the limits for a reason. They have the degrees, expirence, and school loans to show they do know what they are telling people. I don't think that was judgmental at all. Now if the post was along the lines of name calling and belittling, yeah I could see a time out needed....
But I mean we are all grown ups here. (Well I think so) :-) If people come here asking what they are doing wrong or looking for advice or any input, then I don't think they are worried about positive criticism.

Heyher reacted to Piplula in Huge Nsv..in A Small Package
So ..I had posted recently that I was able to wear my wedding band and engagement ring again. Well I also had a mother's ring I couldn't wear my hubby designed and commissioned a man named David to make for me. This ring is very special to me because 1) my hubby loving designed the infinity design and had all of our birthstones placed within the infinity symbol, and 2) David was dying with colon cancer and this was one of the last rings he commissioned to make. When I got it to my surprise, my birth stone was not the right one, but David had a turn for the worse and I didn't have the heart to take it back..David passed a couple of days later. So for a long time ..I was sadden because one it would honor my husband and family to wear it and it would honor David since it was one of the last pieces his hands made, nut my jands had become too large to cpmfortably amd safely wear. To my great surprise, my ring fits on my right middle finger now instead of my right ring finger! I will not have it resized. I plan on wearing it and reminiscing about how this beautiful gesture came to be. I will just keep on switching fingers until I run out! Then..I may wear it around my neck! I am glad I loved myself enough to get my sleeve. My life is much better for it!

Heyher reacted to O.T.R. sleever in Final Post
I find it sad that you acknowledge that the answers are here and there is definately more positive reinforcement than negative. And yet you still chose to depart rather than being another person on the positive side of this.
I wish you luck in wherever you choose to go from here. But keep this in mind. There is an old saying " If you are not part of the soloution, then you are part of the problem.".
I think you could definately be part of the soloution if you wanted to be. Farewell

Heyher got a reaction from NancyJerry in Mark A Few More Off The List!
Went and had my head shrunk yesterday. And the psychologist said I'm not too crazy for surgery!! Yay!
Okay not quite like that but she told me I'm a great candidate for surgery!!
I meet with a different hypnotist to***ht to quit smoking. He is a former smoker, so he understands more about mental cravings vs. physical cravings. He has spent over 10 years developing his program, so I feel confident that I will soon be smoke free!!
Blood test in the morning. Explaining different reactions to when I go too long without food, ect PCP and psychologist (she specializes in bariatric patients) both worry about pre-diabetes.
But three steps checked off this week. WOO HOO!! Oh and my fiance said he is not going to support my Dr Pepper addiction. So he isn't buying me soda any more.
Getting requirements done so my PCP will clear me for surgery.

Lately many posts are becoming personality debates and lose sight of the original posts. There are many different personalities on here, but I personally believe most people truly care and want the best for each other. Sometimes there appears to be too much energy going on. if you post something remember you will get the good, bad and the ugly but do not take it personally since we do not know each other personally

Sorry I don't have advice, because I'm the exact same way... I don't even have my authorization let alone a surgery date to fret over...
Hope you get some great answers.

Heyher reacted to Bubbaloo10 in Deflated & Frustrated
I do believe that after you reach a certain point you will be able to eat anything you want to, but in small portions. It will be up to you to determine what is good for you and what will set you back. It would be great if your sleeve would automatically reject anything that isn't good for you, but that's not how it works. Most of us still have cravings for pizza, burgers, fried chicken, etc, but we have to make the choice to avoid them as much as possible and use them only for "reward" days. I had a Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream cone when I got to 50 lbs lost and again at 75. Does this mean I've fallen off the wagon? I don't think so, and I'm not going to if I allow myself a sin food once in awhile. Don't stress because you crave these things, but make a concious effort to control it.

Heyher got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Help! Everyone Wants To Feed Me!
Respectfully decline and tell them you are trying to be very mindful of your eating. And that much temptation so early in the "diet" could set you back.
It's the truth, just not every detail of the truth. :-)
