Will The Sleeve Help Us Keep It Off?
Heyher replied to Mid West's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The sleeve helps us lose, but we have to be mindful of sliders and nutritionally void foods. It is possible to gain back with any bariatric surgery. But just like losing takes work, so does gaining it back. Complacency is not something that we can really afford. -

Will the scale ever move?!?
Heyher replied to elizabethp529's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get your fluids in. Then Protein. Search in here for three week stall. Happens to a lot of people. Also keep in mind your body just underwent a major shock. It may need time to adjust. Don't just track success on the scale. Measure and track inches. Do monthly photos to compare. And also track your non scale victories. -
So I am about 7 months post op. I have 14lbs to my personal goal of 154. My weight loss has slowed so much, which I knew it would. I try to do yoga and other exercises but I fear that may not get me to goal. I don't think the 5:2 would work since I haven't stopped losing. But since my other health issues prevent me from getting too crazy with exercise I am wondering if you guys have any tips on how I can try and prevent stopping in my weight loss. I know I can't sustain the dramatic calorie reduction and when I start upping my calories I worry I won't lose those last 14. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I just don't want to almost make it. Also my final dress fitting is this weekend. I will post a pic because I'm excited about buying a wedding dress in a size that doesn't start with a 2.

Thanks guys. I think my fear of failing has been in overdrive since I actually had my first official stall in August. Don't know why. That and I'm worried I'll be one if those people who is never satisfied with the weight loss. And always thinking I need to lose more. So for right now I'm just going to focus on my dress fitting tomorrow and enjoy the moment. Or at least try.... :-)

Here in Lakewood we have had steady drenching rain but no flooding. Fiancé works up in clear creek so no work Monday since its been declared a disaster area. No snow until after 10/12 thank you. Also my goal for the wedding was 170. I have my final fitting 9/21 and as of today I'm down to 169.

Ohhhhhhh this was a bad weekend. Bridal shower and bachelorette party. So many good foods and gah a lot of alcohol. I knew it was going to cause a gain. I already had my game plan set for Monday on how to get back on track. This weekend has been so out of the norm since surgery and I feel miserable. Bloated. Water retention. Dehydrated. (In between festivities water was all I drank) Thank goodness I don't do that stuff every weekend. I'm just not cut out for it any more. I'm actually excited to go back to my normal way of eating.

Well over the weekend my nephew said I was kinda fat.... So... Not sure how to feel about that. 6 year olds are brutally honest. Now I am even more confused about how I actually look.
