Getting Tired Of Eating

Oh and as to the baby food, I tried a few jars of that, and it was so bland, that it made me vomit. I just couldn't tolerate it at all! -
Getting Tired Of Eating
Avealina replied to KikiCC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am noticing the same thing. It just seems like such a hassle to eat anything anymore. Although, I'm starting to enjoy cooking a bit, the process of eating just is Daunting! I'm also noticing since I am not 7 weeks out, and can and have been adding solid foods, that I'm even farther away from my daily protein goals than I was when I was on puree and liquids right after surgery. Any advice anyone has on this topic would be great! Maybe I'll just stick with drinking a few protein shakes a day and only eating one meal a day to be able to keep up my protein intake. I think that's the reason I've stalled out a bit on my weight loss right now. -
I'm 6 weeks out and I had my first cup of coffee a few days ago. It gave me heart burn and didn't taste as good as it did before surgery. Just remember if you do drink coffee again after surgery, to use an artificial sweetener and go easy on the creamers, as both sugar and creamers have a lot of carbohydrates, which are not good for you, or your new lifestyle. If you can drink your coffee black, that's even better. Also, my surgeon warned me to stay away from caffeine because the caffeine can trigger hunger.

Weight Watcher's Smart Ones Or Lean Cuisine A Good Idea?
Avealina posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there folks! I'm about to start on solid foods and I HATE cooking! I was looking at bariatric specific foods, but they are rather expensive. So I was thinking about getting those weight watchers Smart Ones or the Lean Cuisine frozen meals. What do ya'll think about them? I haven't gotten to meet with a nutritionist just yet, that comes Monday, but I just wanted to get a consensus here first! Thanks! -

Im In Pain...and Havent Lost Any Weight Since My 1 Week Check Up
Avealina replied to ready4change79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with iegal! You need to take it slow! It is not a race and everyone's body is different. It will take you body time to adjust and you will plateau from time to time. For me, I'm 30 days out now, down 20 lbs. It was a slow start for me, but then again, I've also had the hell period too. ( have gone on now for over 2 weeks) Follow the diet plan and make sure you keep moving! It will come off, I promise! -
Have U Ever Forgot To Sip & Took A Gulp?
Avealina replied to labubakari's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm less than 24 hours post op and believe me, I already had a brush with taking even too big of a sip! It hurt so bad that I never want to do that again! -
I just got the call from the nurse at the hospital... Surgery is officially scheduled for Monday, June 11, 2012 at 9 AM. I'm so excited! and the only part I'm really nervous about is the pain afterwards, because I know it's gonna hurt a bit with all that gas inside me, lol.
