WOW you look marvelous! That's a lot of weight in a short time, you look so happy and don't have much farther to go...you are going to knock everyone's socks off at Christmas! My surgery is in 3 weeks and I only hope I do as well as you Deb

I haven't had my surgery yet but I have been experimenting LOL... I really like the body fortress whey isolate vanilla that you can get at walmart, its a huge container and one scoop is 60gms of pure 90% protien. This is what I do and it tastes like a shake ( I have a ninja ) 1/2 scoop powder 1C unsweetened almond milk 40cals 6 ice cubes Torani syrups any kind sugar free- optional cinnamon-optional instant coffee-optional 3-5 drops stevia-optional frozen strawberries (or any frozen fruit)-optional I also like Fage' greek yogurt with any frozen fruit a few drops of stevia and you have a high protien ice cream! but with this you have to have a ninja to do it Good Luck Stella!

My insurance doesn't cover wls and my bmi is only 34 so if it did they wouldn't touch me anyways. Also there are some Mexican Gastroenterologist's that have been doing this long before it was approved here in the states and have thousands of these surgery's under their belts. Believe it or not but a lot of them were educated here in the states and have taught many Drs. here how to do it.

Hi Veronica, I see you only have 5 days left, I bet you are getting excited..Our stats are almost the same, other than I'm slightly taller and waaaay older! dang !!! I'm only going to be in the fifty's for just 2 more weeks, and have been in mourning for almost a year..LOL My husband is out so I will have to get back to you on how to get your Picture in there. Dr.Ponce is in Mexico, and I am a revision. I went in to have the revision June 26th but left with just the band removed due to erosion. Where at in Phoenix are you?

Congrats on you becoming a grandma..for me it was/is wonderful...nothing like it!!! As for the protein powder whey is the most effective and doesn't taste like milk, I get the vanilla or chocolate and mix it with unsweetened almond milk add some cinnamon and or instant coffee and ice and I have a frappe'. They do have Soy and egg protein powders but in my humble opinion Whey isolate is the best and is 90% pure protien. Hope this helps Deb

This is a little hint to all of you who have to drink the Citrate of Magnesium cut it with 2parts water/1part mag! this makes it just taste like lemon flavored seltzer water and its not bad at all...DON'T try to drink it straight from the bottle its just to nasty!!! and afterwards drink tons of water to keep hydrated for your IV the next day

No sadly..I went in for the revision, but left with just the band removed do to " erosion " the nasty E word!!! luckily for you its kind of rare, so keep your chin up not every case is like mine. Most people have the revision without any problems at all, so don't despair.

My facetious comment was in reference to the doctors comment...SO...I most humbly bow down, and beg your forgiveness, for my sense of humor. To all others pleeeease take it easy!

I did get your PM thanks so much, that gas can really take your breath away and you are doing all the right things . Did you get some protein in with your pre-op diet or did you stick with just liquids? hopefully by now you are at least getting some ice chips and broth in you.
