I am not getting in my 64 ounces of water or my protein, also, I'm having a hard time with these vitamins. I'm 2 weeks out and can only take 1 sipp every 7 minutes. If I try to do more I am in extreme pain. I feel as though I am not progressing and I am very frustrated. Although my Doc said it was to early to think this way, I am frequently asking myself, what have I done?

Thanks Star and Tracey, it has been really tough and I know that it will get better. I get to start puree's today and I am so imtimadated about putting something more than something to drink in my mouth, hell, the liquids scare me because of the fesr of pain. I'm trying t take it one day at a time, just struggling in the process. I have been crying and praying at the same time pretty much nonstop. -
So I'm struggling with how I feel about this and if I have made a mistake. I'm to afraid to get on the scale because I am afraid of failure.

I had my surgery on the 16th and I am not getting my fluids or protein in, I cramp a lot with every sip, I am so uncomfortable right now, I can't tell how much is to much, I don't know whether I'm full or hungry, I'm just up shi**creek! -

My surgery was Monday, only on clear liquids b cramp really bad when I take anything, for the first 2 days after surgery I threw everything back up. My doctor only wants me to get in my 64 ounces of water in, he is not worried about the protein or calories yet, I am having a hard enough time getting the water in. and as for being hungry I don't know if im hungry or not I dont know what I'm feeling. -

So how much should I be drinking at one time? When I drink or suck jello, I get very bad cramps. I just got out of the hospital yesterday and it was worst in the hospital. The cramping is lower abdomen not upper, it only happens when I take in something by mouth. Any suggestions anyone? -
my clear liquid diet allows for decaf coffee also

My doctor did not suggestion to me one over the other, I am also pre diabetic. I chose the sleeve because I have witnessed the other side of the patient with the bypass and it has not been pretty. The lap band was orginally at the top of my list but after really thinking about the fill factor I got over that quickly. -

How much water are have you gotten in today and are you on a clear liquid or full liquid diet. I am on a liquid diet and I have drank 24 ounces, some jello and a popsicle today so far. Still cramping though and was nauseated about an hour ago. -
Still inthe hospital, getting to go home today though. Off iiv meds and fluids, so far holding things down by mouth

Hi everyone, surgery went well but I have sick since coming to my room yesterday at 1030am. Vomiting everything I put in my mouth, not keeping anything down. Very nauseated. Only walked twice yesterday to sick. Got to stay another night for iv fluids and iv pain meds. Had to go to specials for a Picc line after being stuck 15 times for Iv and labs. Hoping everyone else is doing well.

I got the patch behind my ear and they are alternating phnergan and zofran, it is not helping at all. -
1st post op, not doing well, can't keep anything down, had to get a Picc line after 15 sticks for an iv. But surgery went well.

That is Awesome, way to go to the Hubbies that have stepped up and stepped in! I have been talking to mines about all that I am going to need him to do including painting toes, lol. I love him so much, we have been together for 26 years and married for 23 years. -
Today is Clear liquid day, I did eat a little yesterday but is was meat and cheese. I know I was wrong but today is a new day.
