  1. I had my surgery on Oct 3. I have lost nearly 70 pounds since preop diet. I am happy, but my butt is quickly disappearing. This is problematic because my husband is a fan of ample booty. What to do? Before and after
  2. Working at the gym 1 1/2 a day 4-5 days week doing a lot of butt builders machines. Straight squats are tough due to bad knees. Thanks guys for the encouragement. I asked my Husband, and he loves the new me, I just worry because I know how much he loved my padunkadunk and always knew him to be a bodacious booty lover. LOL Done Did It!

Throwing up 6 weeks post-op Anyone else?

It could just be the Noro Vieus which is wicked and rampant this year. Its called the Australia strain. Either way your symproms merit abtrip to the ER or mD
  4. Depends on what your surgeon advised. Some have patients eating regular food 2 weeks out, others make you wait 4-6 weeks. Done Did It!

    October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

Congrats Roman ( funny play. On the name). Keep it up. I like to see sleevers who are living normal, unobsessed lives. Too many times I see folks obsessing about every morsel that touches their lips. Food no longer is central to my life and thinking either. I pretty much eat what I want, have the common sence to stay away from simple carbs (but I dont deny myself a dessert at a dinner party or cake at a birthday, just not an everyday thing). My portions are controlled by my sleeve and what I eat is controlled by common sense. I exercise 4-5 times a week. I do have to force the time to do that in (with 4 kids at home and a full time job. It's hard). So far i have lost 68 pounds. SW 242 DOS222 CW 174 My profile pic was 10 pounds ago Losing weight transforms your life. You are more agile and limber ( in many ways, haha) you pains deminish, your social life improves. It has been the best decision of my life.

I am 54, at 5'7" and 240 I was less than 40 BMI, but HAD hypertension. My mom has pretty bad hypertension, so I opted to have the surgery. I know someone in west haven who has husky A and went through midstate.. She did great. I think approval is actually faster than some private insurances. i am sure it will be approved! Done Did It!

Hey there "dat"! I moved back to Madison (couldn't stay away from my sleepy small town). Much closer to NH. I have some fellow friend sleevers in west haven and new haven, welcome to our group. In box me and we can chat on the experience. I hope to get together with some other locals at Planet Fitness. Are you having it done at yale? Wishing you much lick
  14. I personally hate sitting down to a meal. I can never get more than a few bites and its frustrating. I eat cheese, crackers, jerky, tuna, protein shakes, an egg with veggies, occasional cold cut. If I do eat a meal its usually a pasta dish (doesnt fill me up as much). I have lost 70 pounds since preop diet Sept 3, 50 pounds since surgery on Oct 3. So it works. I dont eat nearly as much, but I eat what I want. Only thing I can no longer tolerate is shell fish, i bring it right up...bummer.
  15. Federal BCBS should pay any licensed therapist that is part of their PPO. I actually paid only 25 dollars for the hour + eval. i have BCBS federal Basic. With this plan I paid very little out of pocket. Done Did It!
  16. I understand. How are you struggling emotionally? I know that I get frustrated, especially when eating out. my eyes are big and hungry, but I take a bite to many, and boom, I feel ill. Watching everyone devour and savor the food pisses me off. it is a choice I made, and I am better for it, so I have to move on and find other enjoyable things to do. I can't complain about how I look, I am very happy with that, but still, I know the limited eating can be frustrating. There are days I want to eat and savor food, so I eat too many slider foods, too many carbs. That's a slippery slope, so I slap myself back in the groove. I have been stalled for a couple of weeks, so I started working out (hadn't even started in 3 months). It takes discipline and focus, but you came this far...you can do it! Done Did It!
  17. Here i am 240 vs 180. 20 -25 more pounds to go Done Did It!
  18. That's silly there are forums for latinos, african Americans, over 50s, lgbt...its just people with similar interests and backgrounds sharing experiences. Done Did It!
  19. I had my surgery on Oct 3. I have Fed BCBS and i had to self pay for 3 nut visits. They submitted after the 3rd visit. After a slight glitch with one nurse trying to deny the surgery, due to low BMI (but had a comorbidity) it was approved a week later by another nurse. They wont wave it. Done Did It!
  20. Did you factor in Water volume loss with the weight loss? This may account for the unusually rapid loss,at first, then the dreaded stalls. Done Did It!
  21. I used to be a bag of hot flashes. Hardly wore coats in the winter, never had to turn the thermostat past 65, while evetyone else in the house wore sweaters and blankets. Now i am chronically cold. Today I am coming down with second cold in a month(never ever got colds more than once a year, if that) here I am with a hoodie, shawl and a wool blanket, and I cant get warm. Lost about 60 pounds since begining of Sept. didnt think the cold issue would be that bad
