I was wondering how people would get approved so quickly. My insurance wants all requirement met before approval and my surgeon will only schedule the date after the approval is in. I have seen how some surgeons will schedule before the actual approval. My surgeon's wait is 3-4 weeks after approval. Hoping for early Oct.

I am not yet scheduled, but my patient advocate (us doctor) told me 3 to 4 weeks to schedule the actual surgery. You get your preop appt in 1-2 weeks

If you look down on the lower right hand corner of the ad, you will see the number for the low cost fellow clinic. -

Today I had my second of three monthly required NUT visits. Another month to go and all my requirements will be completed, hoping for an oct surgery date. Problem is that it feels like it will never happen. I gained 2 pounds in the last month because of vacation and i just feel terrible. I went to the mall with my kids and saw my reflection. I look like a fat old lady. I was shapely once, could turn a head or two. Now I get giggles as teen girls get a load of my ridiculous rump. I have stopped socializing, having my picture taken, and even my mother (who is overweight herself) can't seem to shut up about how much weight I have gained. It has been uphill battle for all my life. Until 15 years ago, i kept it in check with diet pills and running 2-5 miles a day. Then my last marriage started falling apart, I became overweight, and my then husband would call me fat and disgusting...I was no longer his trophy wife. i met the man who loves me for who I am and he has supported me through atkins, and medifast, and southbeach, weight watchers, you name it, I failed it. After all these failures, I am so afraid some glitch will happen. My insurance will deny, something will happen to prevent this from happening. I know I am rambling, I am sorry. i just feel like I have been such a failure,

That is for the post fellow docs. You have to ask for the plastics "clinic" on the 9th floor. Whole different fee base -
I heard it called "food funerals". Stuffing my face for sure...not good!

I am so with you! My rear has it's own zip code! I won't missed being called a "big girl" by my 80 year old patients.

Not sure. 1 have 5 stages of food one week each for a post of diet, clear, full, mushy, soft, then a very gradual introduction of food. I was told no beef for a while, bread like substance should be lite slice must be toasted...i mean it seems pretty strict, I don't think I would be able to eat egg rolls, or quiche lorraine, tacos until at least 6 months out. Just going by my surgeons requirements

Anyone Recieved Plastic Surgery In Mexico?

If you do not want to go to Mexico, New York Eye and Ear hospital in Manhattan, is a world renowned for it's head and neck plastics, developed a cosmetic surgery fellowship that offers low cost surgery 3000-4000 per procedure. The surgeons are all board certified, have already done a plastics fellowship and have decided to super specialize in cosmetics. i had a breast lift for 3000 and a lower body lift (Full circumferance zipper) AND a tummy tuck for 3000. I did this after a big weight loss (that failed a year later) and although I have gained the weight back, I don't have saggy boobs or an apron. They did a phenomenal job. -
If it is a bready kind of smell, its yeast, if it's fishy, probably bacterial, and either will result from hormonal changes. after I gave birth to my daughter, i had severe infections, 2 weeks out of every month, and they would alternate, bacteria one month, yeast another. I drove my ob-gyn nuts, poor guy was actually very good and sympathetic. We couldn't get a grip on it for a year! Check with your gynie even if you don't have pain or itching. He can do a slide right then and there and figure out if you need treatment.

Not sleeved yet. But I am hoping I don't eat that much at 4 weeks out. I would be afraid to be eating as pre op before I knew it.

I am new here. Actively post...a lot, but new. I have seen a few instances where poster may become preachy, sanctimonious and selfriteous. (sp?) and then people in defensivenes may become downright mean . But for the most part, posters are informative, understanding and supportive. Take the good and throw out the bad, no need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I am not yet sleeved, i look to these boards for information to prepare for what will be the next big thing in my life. It helps me pass the time as I obsess over whether or not my insurance approves, once I finish the requirements. I will need the support of these boards once I am sleeved, to get me through the rough patches, the stalls and the food mourning. I am amazed at what I have gleaned from these boards. i have even taught my NUT a thing or two about the high protein foods and shakes out there. My ultimate hope, once I get sleeved and begin my journey is to meet local people on these boards, maybe have a non food get together, share our success and our glitches in person. I'm sure they are out there, I mean, every woman in Fairfield County CT is skinny, it cant be all "natural", can it? LOL! Don't let the meanies get you down, and hang in there. There are plenty of us here to support you and cheer you on...and once in a while...scold you to prevent you from hurting yourself.

I found the editing strange. It may have to do with the first three letters of ***ht??
