The pasta I mentioned are call shirataki noodles, I think. Made from some wild yam root. No carbs, pretty tasteless, very filling. But did not agree with me at all.

20% Regain Weight After 2 Years
NDN_RN replied to Need-a-Sleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I believe there was an error in my interpretation of your statement due to semantic and poor reading comprehension., I am sorry. What I should have read was " I was told by a psychologist who runs a group I belong to, that 20% of people regain their weight". What I thought I read was " i was told by the psychologist who runs a group, I belong to that 20% of people regain their weight" You can see how the latter would be offensive. Sorry. -
My husband is a boxing trainer and personal trainer, he says with big weight loss, weight training is just as important as aerobic exercise. You get both at a gym.

Most Humiliating Fat Moment

My daughter is adopted, she is high functioning, but has OCD, anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder. Everyday is a challenge, everyday a little more detached from reality. But it is the path set before me, and with love and patience and all the help I can get, we go forward. She also has a weight issue at 10. I hope that, once I start losing weight, I can be a model for healthy eating. Unfortunately her medications have a big impact on her weight. -

To each his ir her own. I believe in peer support groups. I don't necessarily want to be told off the bat I could possibly be a failure. That's just me. Good luck with that. -

Goes to show you, every surgeon has their own formula. Still, ensure causes diarrhea in many patients/ people.

Ensure is infamous for causing diarrhea, even in non wls patients

Sunken eyes. I can't spell sometimes

A little soon for full liquids? When were you to start the full liquids? According to my schedule full liquids after 7 days of clear liquids. You are only 3 days out. I have not been sleeved, but I am long time RN. My suggestion is go back to your clear liquids, sip sip sip. Diarrhea may be due to your system not being ready for it. Signs and symptoms of dehydration: dark urine, dry mucous membranes, suncan eyes, weakness, muscle cramps. Feel better and Good luck!

Things I Cant Wait For People To Not Say...
NDN_RN replied to gelen's_change's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think all of us here want to be healthier. Many of us have diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, arthritis and all of those lovely conditions related to obesity. But I am not ashamed to say that I want my figure back., look good in clothes, wear heels, and all that healthy BMIers enjoy. -
The japanese past made from some root, I can't remember the name. It was great for a couple of weeks, then it started giving me the type of stomach ache that feels like someone kicked you in the stomach. I thought maybe it was a fluke the first time, but then every time after that itt was the same. I threw out so much of it! ;(

It's not what people say, it's the looks of OMG, look at her a**., the making a wide arc when walking around me, the feared look on their face when I go to sit down on one of their chairs. -
20% Regain Weight After 2 Years
NDN_RN replied to Need-a-Sleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
20% regain weight. This is always a stat that worries me. I have regained all my weight lost by diet and exercise 100% of the time. I even gained all my weight back after my last diet attempt and having a tummy tuck! I am hoping this tool called the sleeve will help me from stuffing my mouth the way I do. I am also hoping weeks of protein shakes will cure me of my chocolate addiction. This weight has made me slow and tired. i am hoping the realtively fast weight loss will help motivate me to exercise again. Having been a runner for many years, I miss that high. i can't run now, i would destroy my knees (already destroyed my ankles) I know a woman who had RNY she gained all her weight back, and then some. How do you do that, ebven with the malabsorption componenet to RNY? I am seriously tired of my gigantic Butt, my thigh sized arms, of feeling "unpretty". 4 weeks to go before they submit for insurance approval. Praying it all goes through. -
I have 4 weeks before my surgeon can submit to my insurance for approval. Ever since I made the decision to do this, everyday that goes by I get more anxious for it to happen. I never hated the way I looked as much as I hate it now. I read all these wonderful stories of incredible weight loss and self discipline, and I all do is think of what I will miss, so I can eat it...gaining more weight. I don't know if lurking around these boards is encouraging or anxiety producing. I have gotten so much good info here, i am so excited to start my journey, but my inpatience is getting the best of me making me feel so down in the dumps. Help?
