I worked as an RN in their ER in the mid 80s. My son and his wife had their Baby there last December, my mom broke her ankle in the hospital doorway on the way to see her great grand baby being born and ended up in the ER the same day. i was not impressed by their nursing care. There have been several communities in Ct who have shut down their libraries due to infestation. Also hollister in NYC time square along with some other high end clothing stores have had to shut down to fumigate. You won't catch me at a movie theater these days, I wait for video. My nut told me to dilute isopure in crystal light 50/50 or water. Never drink it straight She also told me to make isopure icecubes to cool down crystal light or water. Haven't tried it, so....i am afraid.

Good thread. I think I won't be sleeved until early oct. Not too much prep involved. i bought 2 bottles liquid multivitamins (buy on get one half off) and two bottle calcium gummies same bogo. Gas-x strips, also on sale.besides water, water, and more water.... I think I am doing isopure 3 bottles, I was told by my nut 1/2 bottle a day for 1 week. Crystal lite and popsicles. Week 2 one pure protien shake at 35 g and one atkins @20g and that's it per day, after that, I plan to be out shopping myself. I have 4 little guys at home ages 5,7,10,and 13. My 10 year old has mental illness, so it will be a challenge since, my husband isn't the best at setting her limits. Only my DH, best friend, and college daughter knows this is happening. ( love my parents, but not the most supportive, my grown sons don't need to know, either)-so best friend offered to take time off to be with me, hubby will as well. I am a clean freak, so it will be tough seeing the kids making a mess and not be able to clean up (the way I clean). I will let hubby take care of getting them up and ready for school, dinners and laundry and such. He really is amazing that way. So what if their hair is natty or their clothes are on inside out??? Lol

Read an article on webmd says can take in up to 218g of protein daily. But protein has 4cal per gram. So yea, too much protein can equal too many calories. High protein intake can be dangerous to people with any kind of kidney compromise.

I think he should have discussed Gastric Sleev as an option as well. He didn't discuss the draw backs of chronic malabsorption.

I have federal bcbs. They insisted on 3 preop nutrition visits and a letter from my primary saying i need the surgery, because I have a bmi less than 40 with hypertension. Also had a psych eval, the ekg and upper GI endoscopy were for the surgeon. My last Nut visit is sept 6 and then papers to insurance

Thanks for this! My daughter has been diagnosed with adhd autism spectrum v. Severe reactive attachment disorder. Ocd anxiety to name a few. I stress eat, so in the last 8 years. Since she came to live with us, i have put on 75 pounds. I need the sleeve as a tool to help me remember to eat reasonable portions and think about what I put in my mouth. The moe stress the more i eat the worse i feel a out mself which stresses me out more. I need to stop the cycle, i need to feel better about myself, feel healthier so I can tackle this lifetime commitment befor me. I am just now sitting in the psychiTrists waiting room in an emergency visit as my daughter appears to be decompensating.
