Of you borrow money off your 401 k you do not have penalties and the rate is usually much lower than commercial loans. I borrowed for home improvements and am paying 1.5% annually for 5 years. If you liquidate money out without intent to repay. The penalties are 10% and the tax burden for the what is considered extra income can be devestating

I think if you travel by air or long car rides you retain Water, ankles swell etc. drinking water to flush is a good idea, . Watercress is a natural diuretic. Also, if you built up muscle...muscle weighs more than fat. This is attributed to a lot of stalls and gains.

Dr. Rodriguez In Cd Juarez?
NDN_RN replied to yazun82's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
No idea who this surgeon is. I lived across the Rio Grande from Juarez a few years ago...scarey place. Wild West scarey, drug cartells, murders. If you have never been, please check it out first. -
I hope your surgeon's dad is OK

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
NDN_RN replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Oct Sleevers! I don't have a definitive date because they won't commit until insurance approves. My last Nut visit in 9/6 and will be submitted to insurance then. The turn around is less than a week and surgery about 3 weeks later. Finger -
60 Grams Of Protein In A Serving
NDN_RN replied to Anthony D'Adamo's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
60 grams over 4 sittings is 15 G a sitting. Even in 2 sittings is 30 G each. Why so people misread so much? I dont know anything about this drink, i just did the math. Smh -
i am pre-sleeve and This is a question I WILL ask my nut at my next and last visit in 2 weeks: i understand Protein, protein, protein, cabs after...if they fit. What I never hear is fat intake. Being an RN and doing atkins a few times I know that fats are essential for Vitamin absorption, and in Atkins diet it actually helped with weight loss ( something about not all fats are absorbed, give you a full feeling ). What are the ideas here?

I am a 54 year old nurse, wife and mother of 9. I have 5 adopted children, 4 are still at home ages 5 to 13. I have a 25 year old entering his 3 rd year of international film school a 28 year old who is a phd candidate at Rutgers U and a 19 year old who is entering her sophmore year at NYU. the other 2 are finding their way. The yougers are adopted with my second husband. I have a special needs 10 year old with significant emotional/psych disabilities. I work as an RN doing home care for a VA hospital in CT. i love my vets! I have struggled with my weight since I was a teen. I had been a runner for 20 years that kept the weight off. Many years of diet pills to keep the trophy wife status then Doctor husband wanted. Once I gained weight, i was emotionally and verbally abused and ended in an ugly divorce. More weight gain. Despite my weight, my best friend and the greatest love and my life were married. Atkins for 2 years, awesome weightloss then bigger weight gain...optifast, medifast, scarsdale, south beach, juice, atkins again and again, for repeated failure. Now I have hypertension, arthritis, plantar fasciitis. I am miserable and sad. My husband supports me and my best friend supports me. I am almost done with my requirements and hope insurance is swift and my surgery sometime in October. Nice to meet everyone

I hate these embarrassing water park moments. I had one years ago at a disney park. i went down one of those slides that does not require a tube. I went down FAST like a luge...when I got to the bottom, the bottom of my bathing suit got sucked in to my bum crack exposing my massive mounds like a thong. The worst of it was my struggle to pull it out before i stood up, but failed because I had to exit the end before the next slider ends up running into me. Smh. It was aweful.

Buyer's Remorse- My Horrible Road To "recovery" Post Sleevectomy
NDN_RN replied to jsd2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Picc line is an IV that it inserted in the arm and threaded to the subclavian vein which directly brings blood into the heart. It is for longer term IV infusions, chemo, and TPN. TPN is total Parenteral Nutrition. It is a mixture of Protein, fats, carbs, and Vitamins made in a sterile environment that is directly infused into your blood through a picc line. Bipasses digestion and absorption. -
