  1. GNC is perfect. They have a wide variety of shakes. Try to buy ready to drink of a very small jar of powder as some of them are truly gross tasting Done Did It!
  2. Wow, you sound busy, like me. i have a full time job, but work partly from home, which gives me flexibility. I do a lot of my "homework" after my 4 kids are in bed. I do exercise 4 -5 days a week. I force myself to make time. It may be hard for you, but If I were you I would either get up extra early or excercise after the kids are in bed. There are plenty of good work out videos you can buy on line. You can dance the pounds away, or do traditional calisthenics, or Pilates at home. I go to a gym, it motivates me. But I also have a treadmill and elliptical, if I cant go. i know you can do it. Done Did It!
  3. I am not sure what is available in your country, but I am sure you must have healthfood stores or Vitamin type shops. Many of them have premixed and powder Protein drinks. Optifast is available on line, a little pricey, but 5 shakes a day is what I did for 2 weeks pre-op and lost 15 pounds. I also like BariatricChoice.com . They have good variety of shakes Soups and meals, low in carbs high in protein. When you eat regular food, stick to high protein meals. chicken and fish. Red meat is ok as well, but hard to digest. cheese and eggs as well. Beans and nuts are OK, just a little high in carbs. Good luck Done Did It!
  4. 23 pounds at a height of 5 ft is pretty significant, albeit less than one would expect with WLS. So be proud of that accomplishment.I think starting over again as if you are newly post op and trying to re boost the weight loss would be helpful. Do a week or two of Protein shakes, Optifast was a good choice for me, although I now drink Pure Protein Shakes, move to puree, soft then a regular low carb diet, . It does take discipline, but if you can accept our support, we will cheer you on!! Valerie Done Did It!

    Hate fat free products?

Wow. You are very close to me at 170. I hover around 162-165 at 5 months out. I am 5 ft 8. My goal is 160. My son says I am too skinny now...ha. I am a visiting nurse, so I eat on the run in the am, a dunkin donuts Breakfast wrap, coffee and a bottle of Water for breakfast. lunch is a Protein shake an 2 baby bell cheeses, or a piece of summer sausage, or tuna...usually about 3 ounces and 16 ounces of water with mio. For dinner, I cook all sorts of stuff. Ethnic stuff like rice and Beans, steak or chicken or pork chops, i might cook cheese tortolini, i eat out and have 1/2 an appetizer, a small slice of pizza. Sounds like the wrong stuff, but the portions are small, calories less, and I do only have a few bites of carbs. I eat much much less volume, but I eat what I want, makes me very happy. I decided not to make myself crazy with measuring. Occasionally I do over do it, but its a reminder what my limits are. I work out 1 1/2 hrs 4-5 times a week. And drink 60 punces of water a day. Always a Protein Shake daily to slow the hair loss. i take vit b12 sublingual and daily chewables. . Everyone does it differently. Some are more , let's say diligent, with measuring grams of protein and and milliliters of water, and scream if you say you eat rice or Pasta, and then there are those like me, who don't come on the boards as much anymore, who continue to enjoy foods, within limits, As long as I lose weight, even slowly, when I reach 160, I will be happy. I don't eat m and ms any more, no icecream or soda. I don't eat processed stuff and try to say in the healthy zone. that alone has made a huge impact in my life. Good luck on your journey. Just hair

Thanks for the recommendation. I am almost 5 months out and started finding my shoulder length strands of hair everywhere. I had bobbed my hair from mid back to chin length right before surgery. It has grown a lot, but now is falling out, alarmingly fast. My scalp is itchy too. I figure it is the winter dry air. Done Did It!

    Post Op Penis Size

Female perspective on this. i have lost 70 pounds. Needless to say, I had quite a cushion. Now, bottoming out is a common occurance. If it happens for us girls, its definitely going to impact the "usable length" on you guys. Done Did It!
