I am pre op working on losing 25 pounds before my surgery on oct 3. Not easy. All i have to say, is I am blessed for the opportunity, and when I do lose weight and see someone over eating, I will think, there but for the Grace of God, go I.

I started working last monday out after 4 years of nothing. I joined Planet Fitness, the trainer took me and trained me on all the resistance machines for the areas I want to target. i felt a little odd, but there are college muscleheads, grannies, and fluffies like me. Now I don't care, and I add a New Machine every other day. I have lost 6 pounds in the last 6 days, it keeps me on my diet and I am drinking tons of water( was a diet pepsi addict). You can do it!

Getting Sleeved Monday And Cant Stop Eating!
NDN_RN replied to loveit1222's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think you will likely need to postpone your surgery.perhaps you subconsciously sabotaged your pre-op diet because of fear, or feeling unprepared. You should talk to someone in depth about what you are feeling -
They are too hard for me' date=' now. I need a lot of cushion on my heel or the pain is escuciating. That's all I wore all year long when I lived in NM

Still has A LOT of carbs. That is a slippery slope -
Sami, it's normal to be worried. The percentage of complications is so small. The percentage of complications due to obesity are great. I for one actually freak out in the pre-op suite, right before they wheel me in. My heart races i become nauseous ans sweaty. I have learned to ask for a valium from the anesthesiologist to keep from running away.

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

18 days for me. Pre-pre-op diet in full swing lost 6 pounds this past week. Liquid pre-op diet to start thursday. Getting psyched. Nervous too -
My surgeons coordinator was very nice, but would take a couple of days to respond. i did all my legwork. The surgeon's nurse gave me the names of the gastroenterologist for my EGD, Gave me a sample letter for my PCP, which Typed up myself, putting in my information, leaving room for letter head. I gave it to my pcp who signed it, put it on letterhead and sent it right in, had my EKG and blood work, scheduled and paid for all three nutrition visits my self. When the last letter came in, she sent it that day to insurance. i bit my tongue for the following 3 business days, then called the insurance directly, to find out they wanted information that was clearly in their possession or not required. I demanded to speak to an insurance nurse. I explained nurse to nurse the problem, and although it was on another nurses to do list, she approved it on the spot! I called my coordinator who said to me she wished all her patients were like me. Yeah, I made it easy!
