Itch and pain receptors are the same. Itch is a less intense version of pain. Healing is underway...unless it it accompanied by redness swelling and drainage...that's infection

Peppermint oil calms nausea. Buy at a healthfood market, sniff it when you are nauseous. It helps! -
Newgrandmother, (i am a new granny too!) gatorade is good potassium and magnesium replacement as long as it is sugar free. Great for Fluid intake as well. My old family doc (i cried when she retired) told patients to put a bar of ivory soap, unwrapped under the sheets at the foot of the bed. DONT ASK ME HOW THIS OLD WIVES TAIL WORKS, BUT IT DOES ( for a lot of folks anyway) good luck!

I was approved last week, after a near fail. Because I have a less than 40 Bmi, I And a comorbidity, they scutinize the paperwork more. I called to check and the insurance person ( not a nurse) insisted my file was incomplete and said I need 2 co morbidities ( not on the plan brochure) 2 years weight history( questionable since my co morbidity trumps that)which would have been difficult since i am not the most compliant and go to the doctor"officially" very infrequently, luckily my Pcp did state my obesity has been decades long in his letter of medical necessity, and some other things that had already been submitted. I insisted on talking to a nurse that actually approves these things. She agreed I had met all the requirements and approved on the spot. Picked my heart up and put it back in my chest. -
Here seems to be a lot of talk on these boards about people becoming lactose intolerant after the sleeve. I think that maybe it's not so much the lactose in Protein drinks. But the sucralose. Sucralose in high doses, depedent on your sensitivity can cause gas bloating and diarrhea. Any thoughts?

C-diff is actually a toxin that develops in your gut as a result of antibiotic over use. It stays in you gut causing diarrhea, bleeding, swelling of the gut, malabsorption. Severe enough it can eat away at the lining of your intestine causing erosions, possible bowel removal and death. -
