Hi everyone! Post or 20 hours. Was doing super yesterday. No real gas pain, mostly belly muscle soreness. They were giving me dilaudid and roxicet (i am allergic to codeine and morphine makes me itch like crazy), but that stuff made me so dizzy! I had a rough patch about 9pm. I suddenly got nauseous and started retching. Thew up some old blood and wet the bed (due to retching and having given birth to a couple of 9 ponders) how embarrassing. Well the nurses and pa were amazing. Changed my pain med to IV toradol and I slept a good 6 hours. I can feel my bowels starting to wake up, a little uncomfortable, but tolerable. Today I am having my leak test and I plan to walk, walk, walk the halls. How are you my octosleeve sisters and brothers it's 5 am, gonna roll over and go bak to sleep Just Do It!!!

Wow! I am touched. Thanks guys for your support. I continue to feel groggy. i am forgoing the pain meds until night time, because the dizziness is killing me. Leak test tomorrow (which is why I can't take more than 30 cc at a time. Walking the halls. The gas pain really is almost non existent, fleeting, mostly sore muscles. I am going to take a nap. Love you guys! Just Do It!!!

Done did it! Surgery done at 10. Had to stay in RR until 2 due to a bed shortage. I am in my room now, been sleeping since I got here. The Roxicat knocks me on my butt. Pain is ok. Just in upper left abdomen. Feels Like the stitches pain you get after running fast. Drinking 30 cc Water every 15 minutes while awake. No nausea at all. Exvept for the being so sleepy and the tolerable pain, i feel pretty good. So far so good ! Thank you for all your healing thought and prayers. Just Do It!!!

Gown and socks on 1/2 hr to show time. Can you believe the gown i have on has an air hose attached to it to keep you warm?

Ok. I am in the waiting area, waiting to check in for surgery. Hubby dropped me off and he went back home to get the kids to school. So i am doing it alone for now ( he'll be back later) stomach and intestines s grumbling from the milk of mag. Not too nervous. Excited. Oh boy

11 hours and counting. Tummy is growling, milk o mag is definitely keeping me hopping. Scared, worried, happy, excited. I AM HUNGRY Just Do It!!!

Twas the night beforr sleeving and all through the house mama was cleaning, doing laundry. Picking out 3 outfits for each of the three girls for school, 12 snacks packed for 4 kids for 3 days, shaving her legs, plucking her brow, oh and I chopped off all my hair. What else? What else? Oh I have to pack a bag. Never got new pjs. Oh well. Worked 8 hours today. Who had time??

I'm right there with you. Wednesday 8 am, first case of the day. Nerves have me jumpy.

I think i am going to hit the vitamin X tonight. Doing a lot of praying. Woeking and taking care of the kids keeps me busy.

So sorry to hear that. Glad you were able to figure out the tax burden, which is beyond the 10% penalty. It's not so bad at smaller amounts. Just Do It!!!

I did that to buy another home, we had to move and couldn't sell our first home that was under Water.. The tax liability was devastating. We are still recovering. Now our renters in our first home, decided not to renew their lease, even though they had expressed that they would. They reneged due to divorce. Now I am stuck. Never ever cash out your 401k, unless you are willing to pay AT LEAST double what you come out with. Just Do It!!!

I am down 21 pounds pre op as of this morning. I have today and tomorrow, clear liquids only. I am thinking apple juice for the energy? Anyway, I will be heading to the hospital at 630 am on Wednesday. Getting more anxious than excited. Surgeon told me not to hesitate to call him for a prescription if it gets to be too much. Just Do It!!!
