Wow! you are doing great, keep it going!!
-
Well I am definitely going to increase my water, and add something else to my excercise regimen, I can tell that I have lost inches, but I like to see the scale actually move! Hopefully that will get the ball rolling in the right direction! Thanks so much for your input, greatly appreciate it!

My NUT told me that I need to keep my calories around 1000 per day, but to eat about 5 meals per day....I dont always do it because sometimes Im just not hungry....and I only continue to drink my protein because I want to make sure that my hair doesnt start shedding. Is it possible to get too much protein? I drink the protein in the mornings... I agree that I need to do better with the water, that is something that I have struggled with from day one.

I have been stuck at 181 for about 2 weeks, give or take a few pounds, I will go to 181, then back to 184, then back to 181.....I am drinking about 74 grams of protein, (Oh Yeah! shakes and EAS shakes) and about 50-60 oz of water, my daily calorie intake is about 1000. Walking for 45 minutes every other day.....

Weight Lost In 6 Weeks
Celaine47 replied to anm968503's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am also 4 weeks out, and to date have lost 21 lbs but thanks for confirming about the lower BMI losing slower, I wondered if that was the case. and my BMI was <40 when I got sleeved on 6/20. -
Hello All! I would like to know if anyone knows the answer to this question? Do people with a higher BMI or more excess weight to lose, lose weight at a faster rate than someone who has a lower BMI or less excess weight to lose? Just want to know what observations people have made. Thanks!

June Sleevers! Hows It Going?
Celaine47 replied to petite-size-me!'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeve 06/20, and down 20lbs, but I feel like it should be more, I hit a stall in week 3 and then gained a pound back but then dropped 1 pound this week. ....does anyone know if you have more excess weight to lose, does it come off faster or slower, or does the amount of excess weight even matter? Looks like everyone is doing great, good luck to all! -

Help! How Do I Get Past This Stall?
Celaine47 replied to TMyers1471's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello~ I went thru a stall at week 3 and I her it is very normal, but yes it IS stressful....I was stuck at 184, and I increased my Protein and Water and the scale started back moving..and in 2 days I I dropped to 180, and trying to make sure I get in all my protein to keep my metabolism going....one thing I did notice during the stall is that while the scale was not moving, I did actually lose inches, so it wasnt all bad...I have seen on this forum that when you stall you may see a loss in inches and that was true for me. Hang in there, it will pass! -

I am 5' 3", and top weight was 201.5, on my day of surgery (06/20/2012) weighed in at 195lbs, had a stall last week at 3 weeks which I hear is common, I was stuck at 184, and then this week increased my Protein and the scale started back moving now at 180, My goal weight for my self is 150. Hope I can see it in the next 2 months or so.... Total loss pre op =6lbs Total loss for month 1 post op = 15lbs Total loss of 21lbs -
Congratulations! I wouldnt try making the drive, you will most likely be tired/sleepy and depending on how sore you may be or if you will have gas/nausea disconforts, I would stay in a hotel just to be on the safe side, or have someone else drive you home, but it could also be uncomfortable to be riding in a car for that time period immediately after surgery.

Good Luck to you! I am 4 weeks post op and havent had any regrets! ....Down 20lbs since surgery date on 06/20, and off BP meds...Very excited for you!

I was sleeved on 06/20.....day of surgery I was at 195, down from 201.5, now 3 weeks post op, I was at 184, but now at 187....struggling to get my protein in and water, excercising every ither day...dont know how I gained 3 lbs back and dont know why the scales seem to be NOT moving...want to get to the point I have read so much about where people see the weight just start "falling off" On the flip side I have lost inches, but the scale isnt moving...dont want to get discouraged this early in the game At the point now where I have made up my mind not to go near the scale except for maybe once a week....dont want to be disappointed..........any suggestions?
-
Congratulations! I was sleeved on 06/20. now 3 weekd out, lost 17 then gained 3 back, not sure why, just trying to continue to get the water and protein in, staying focused....Keep up the good work! You are definitely moving in the right direction!

June Sleevers! Hows It Going?
Celaine47 replied to petite-size-me!'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved on June 20,which is 3 weeks ago today.... and have lost a total of 17lbs, but have gained back 1lb......not sure why, started at 201 and pre surg was 195, now at 184 and HOLDING...Goal is 145......struggling with the protein, but getting plenty water....I have lost inches though, waiting for the weigh to start "falling off" like everyone says....WHEN exactly does that happen? LOL, this is a great thread. I appreciate any feedback! -
That is AWESOME!
-
Awesome post! I will be 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I need to pick up the pace of my excercise regimen....Thanks for your motivation! You are correct the end result will be SO worth it!
-
Tomorrow will be 2 weeks post op...I was sleeved on 06/20/02012. I started at 201.5 and my weight on the morning of surgery was 195. I stayed overnight at the hospital and dont remember ANYTHING about the procedure except for the bright lights of the OR. I was sore at my incisions, but had no major pain and no nausea AT ALL....I was thankful for that! I did not have gas or gas pains and no nausea the entire time I have gone through this experience. I was able to tolerate water, tea, and gelatin the next day and was discharged that afternoon. Each day the stiffness and soreness got better and is almost totally gone..My biggest challenge is getting in the protien and fluids...I am tired of clear liquids...lol...and getting my protein is my biggest hurdle right now those are the hardest for me to tolerate...YUCK! I am now at 184 which is down 11 more pounds since my day of surgery , Seems like now I am at a standstill going into my second week...Trying to incorporate more walking excercise, seems like I need a jump start on my metabolism or something! Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or is this normal for this point and time. Thanks !
