I'd like to share my 5 month, 40lb pictures but don't know how to add them. Anyone know?

Amazing price. What state are you in? You got great results.
-

-
Tracy, could I ask what it cost you?

Hair loss equals not enough protein!!!!

I had a hiatal hernia repaired at time if banding, and my surgeon acted like this was common. Seek a 2nd opinion for sure.

I gained 5 lbs my first month!

I'm having trouble keeping anything down lately, even soup! I'm not sick and don't have allergies. I've had 2 fills since surgery 6-28-12 and go for my third Monday. My problem, I know I'm not getting the proper food intake lately because I can't even "eat" liquids but I don't want to miss the opportunity for my fill Monday! Since my 2nd fill mid August I've only lost 2lbs! This makes me feel even more that I need another adjustment. Advice?
-
I'll monitor it this weekend thanks

Sadly, from my consult to surgery was only 10 days so right away I started liquids only. So sad!

I would love to be there, but I'm not 100% yet. How long did this take you? I will say, I don't enjoy some foods the way I used to, but I still miss it.

Day 1--Awesome! Day 2--Not So Bueno....help!
Concept57 replied to fostermomma's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The hardest part for me was the pain from the gas from surgery! I was miserad for a full week and I think that's pretty normal. I alternated heat and ice for the first 5 days and most important REST even if you feel good, you just had major surgery. -
Pre Surgery And Looking For Advice
Concept57 replied to Holden57's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Advice, eat slow and chew good. Also, with meals I probably would have trouble eating (roast, spaghetti) I put in a food processor and am able to eat them in occasion. Also, be patient and only weigh once or twice a month! Best of luck. -
Pre Surgery And Looking For Advice
Concept57 replied to Holden57's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Let me give you some background! I'm 26 years old and live in ft worth Texas. I am barely 4 foot 11 and got up to 170+ lbs. I had to get on high blood pressure meds at 24! Sad, right?! I decided to have surgery after going to the ER with chest pains and learning my weight puts me at increased risk for blood clots because my weight makes my heart work overtime! My surgery was June 28, 2012 as self pay, $9888.00. From per-op diet that started 6/15 until today I have lost 25lbs. I've had 2 fills, both times at 2ccs. My band holds 10ccs. Since my second full, I've only lost 1lb which is discouraging since this life changing device makes you work hard. The hardest part for me if not drinking anything before, after, and during eating. Where are you in your journey? -
Sandra, my dr says no food 12 hours before a fill and liquids only the following 24 hours.
-
Funny you say that, my surgery was 6/28/12 and I'm still bruised where I got the anti clot shot. Is this normal too???
-
My price also included 1 year of fills. I wonder why the difference in cost!?
-
$9800.00 cash for me.

I've noticed a few times since my band surgery in June of this year that I will wake up to thick sticky spit in the back of my throat that requires conscience deep swilling. It lasts an hour and by the time it's over, my throat is sore. It's also accompanied relux. I wait a good time from eating to going to bed. Any suggestions?

Does anyone ever take a chance and drink carbonated drinks?

First Week Post-Op Major Pains
Concept57 replied to Concept57's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There was nothing he could do, he said it would have to just heal. He did gi ve me liquid lidocaine to help numb my throat but it was little relief. -
Surgery was 6-28-12 and i had lapband and a hiatal hernia fixed. I have had almost unbearable pain in my chest, throat, jaw, and even head. Went to dr today and she said all looked ok. She said pain maybe from the scope/tube. The pressure is one ive never experienced and no matter the meds, there is little relief. Any suggestions? I'm taking pain meds as much as i can.

First Week Post-Op Major Pains
Concept57 replied to Concept57's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It had to be, process of eliminations, that was my drs best guess. I also had a hernia repaired and my stomach was too high and pushing into my lung so that caused extra trauma and swelling. Good now. -
How can I add pictures!?

You look amazing!!!! Any tips you can give!?
