Congrats on getting a date! it's very exciting! Jitters are totally normal just try to re-enforce the reasons for making the choice to have the surgery. It will all be worth it!!! I had my surgery June 2012 and it was the best choice I ever made. I tried to chicken out a week before and I found support in friends that help me with my anxiety. Keep me post! I'm from Long Island btw :-). Dana -

Hello ladies.... I could also use a daily weigh in/ go to support person. Though I have joined this site a while ago I am finally using it. I was banded on June 20, 2012 at a start weight of 274. I now weight 227. I am super happy with my weight loss but it would be nice to have some woman around my age to talk to. I'm the only one that I know that had the surgery so it's hard for others to understand. Dana -

I did not experience that but congrats on the 13 lbs!!! Are you on softs yet? Every person I have talked to has been told a different regimen for the post op diet plan. Dana

Hello ladies! I am 25, had the band with plication down about 6 months ago and I feel great!!! I'm down 56 lbs without much exercise due to back/ knee issues which have been preventing me from exercising for a long time. But I am slowly getting my cardio in :-). I can't tell you how much my life has changed! hope everyone is doing well! Dana

Banded Yday And Sore!

I was banded two weeks ago and the first week was awful but everyday it got better and better. Give it time :-) and Just think how much better you are today then day 1 post op -
I'm from long island and had my surgery June 21st. definitely would be nice to meet some local band friends!
