I was just wondering if anyone else had this same feeling as me. Iv noticed that every time after I eat...it doesn't matter if its a protin shake or regular food, I start to get a really intense punched in the stomach feeling in my high mid abdomen. It last about 15 min before it passes. Does anyone know what this could be or do you have the same feeling? It's not terrible pain feels more like a bad stomach ach for a few min.

Pain Below Port
lilbit182004 replied to Bamabander's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I had the same pain. I had to hold my stomach up when ever I walked. My dr. Thought it was a hernia as well and I also had a CT with contrast. Everything was normal. But you didn't mention how far post op you are. I am now 5 weeks post op and it has completely gone away. Once in a while depending on how I sit or move It comes back but only for a few seconds. I'm guessing your about 2 or 3 weeks out. Don't worry it will go away. -

I am right there with you. I am almost two weeks out and I cry every day telling my mom who had the lap band as well two days after me that I just want it out already. My mom is fine she acts like if she didn't even have surgery. But not me. I have pain every day. I have that lump in my throat as well and now I even had to go for a CT scan because I was having extreme pain in my belly button my dr. Thinks I might have a hernia in one of my incisions. I am so miserable everybody tells me to hang in there and that it will get better. But I am miserable, depressed all I wanna do is sleep and I cry all the time. I just want it out!!!

Will I Have This Feeling Forever???
lilbit182004 replied to lilbit182004's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks. Ya at first the water was getting a little bubbly but now it seems to go down fine but when I eat things like jello or even that ONE grape it stops in my chest for like a second then moves through. It is very disapoininting because I didn't want this to be the feeling at every meal. And no my dr. Did not put a fill in during surgery. Mabe I'm just trying to rush the healing process. I hope it's just swelling. I don't go for a post op appointment until August 9 so that is when I can start mushies. I'm nervous about that stage now. -

lilbit182004 replied to 2savemylife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 1 week post op and I am just now getting the gas and the boating down. I am slowly being able to suck in my tummy (lol) until it starts to hurt. It will pass just every once awhile try taking in deep breath or use the breathing thingy they gave you at the hospital. It helped me alot to just be able to clear my lungs and just be ble to breath in deeply! -
Will I Have This Feeling Forever???
lilbit182004 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I Was banded on July 23 and even though my healing has been slower than what I have read here on this forum, I am feeling better and better everyday. But now I have a question... I am still on full liquids and when I eat things like jello and sometimes even when I drink water I have that feeling in the middle of my chest and then it moves down after a couple of seconds. I know it might be from the swelling of my stomach but will I always have that feeling no matter what I eat for the life of my band? I'm just nervous that I will always have to deal with that "stuck" feeling every time I eat!? Please help.... If this is the case I am now having second thoughts about getting the band. I want to shed this weight but I didn't know I was going to hve this pain while doing it every time I eat. -

I Keep Cheating!!!
lilbit182004 replied to kwood803's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Omg yes I am on day 9 of my pre op diet and up until yesterday I was doing fine but all of a sudden I started feeling so sick to my stomach. I was unable to hold down another shake or yogurt so I had to put real food In my stomach. I had a bowl of broccoli soup and a small piece of bread. Even thought this helped with the nausea I felt guilty because I didn't want to cheat but I was getting physically sick. I am so over this liquid diet but I am ready to jump back on and tough it out till monday which is my surgery day!!!! -
Is Anyone From San Antonio Texas
lilbit182004 replied to valerie34's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yes i can have soup but only broth. Doesn't really do much for hunger. It goes right through. But today i cheated! Boo I ate broccoli cheese soup from Panera. It was so yummy and I don't regret it but that just means I have to hit it hard sat and Sunday!
