Be Honest What Did You Cheat On Your 2 Week Post-Op?
petite-size-me! replied to Karen2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im 15 days out and toying with puréed foods. First 13 days, just liquid!! Now I feel well, no issues and puréed food keeps me satisfied longer than liquid. There is no reason to 'cheat' call ur dr and see what you can do to help u tolerate the diet. -
June Sleevers! Hows It Going?
petite-size-me! replied to petite-size-me!'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
IMO- don't under cut calories and Protein for water! Nourish your body. Eat a few more calories and go for a stroll. Your body needs nutrients to process and eliminate fat and waste! Sip Water all day yes, but set 6 times you are going to 'eat' and get those nutrients in! -
Wow. Your calorie counts are so low! And exercise so high! You are burning way more calories than you are eating. There is a minimum our bodies need to run our vital organs and just move around, before you add exercise. The heavier you are the higher that number as your body has to work harder to stay alive and get around. Is it safe long term to consume less than 800 calories a day and exercise that much? From everything I know, your body will lose slower and stall more often if it perceives famine. Not sure my brain would function (as that seems to be the first to go for me!) I'm sure I would feel light headed and somewhat unwell. (as I have done starvation diets in the past!) Interested to hears thoughts on this

Belly Binder
petite-size-me! replied to soccermomx2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did u guys have open surgery? My sleeve was laparoscopic, gallbladder out as well. Then had open hernia repairs through my old caesarean scar from twins. Would live compression around apron and hernias but not upper abdominal. I have been looking at the compression garments with zippers up both sides for easy on and off. -

Belly Binder
petite-size-me! replied to soccermomx2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey! 15 days post op here with double hernia repairs as well. No way I would bind my abdomin right now! I have enough trouble getting food down without any pressure garments. A few weeks done the track maybe? -
Insurance Covers Bypass Or Band, How To Get Sleeve?
petite-size-me! replied to erp's topic in Insurance & Financing
I wouldn't have had the surgery if anything but sleeve. Banding has too much on going care and RNY (bypass) has long term health effects like malabsorption. That is from my research and is my opinion. Looking forward to seeing others -
Any Ladies At 5'5"? What's Your Story?
petite-size-me! replied to jhansen71's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Im 5'3 and although originally born and bred in Texas til I was 28 I now live in Australia, so.. Technically my opinion is irrelevant, but I was going to say... Weights! Do it! U will be so happy u did! In Australia we have Les Mills pump classes and I LOVE them! Can't wait to get back to it!! The research is showing that although cardio is great for initial calorie burn, the sustained release you get from strength training is equally if not more important for toning and long term health. -

Body Dysmorphia In Reverse
petite-size-me! replied to Christine1322's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am actually porportionate, but really heavy! My breasts are huge and my ass is supersized, so of course my waist and legs look small! I used that as armor for a long time. Doesn't help when u have friends that tell you that your figure is nice. I think they mean to make me feel better but when I see pics I just want to crop them to head shots! But when I get myself done up and swagger out the door, in my mind I look HOT! Pmsl! I have heard it can take ages to start picking up smaller sizes by habit. Lots of ppl lose weight and then continue taking larger sizes to the dressing rooms! -
Copper iud here, no hormones and no chance I'll forget todo something! The max is 4-5 years but u can have it out anytime! I'll have mine out as soon as hubby has the snip!

Help! Bougie Size Questions. 46Fr
petite-size-me! replied to Losingitforgood!'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmm, part of me thinks, that would be interesting to know, and the other part says I chose a surgeon for his training and qualifications, I will let him do what is best. I was sleeved June 26, never asked what size he would use. Doesn't mean you shouldn't ask if it gives you piece of mind. -

petite-size-me! replied to robin33's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi! Sleeved June 26 in Melbourne Australia. I've lost 4 kilos which is about 10 lbs, but I'm not worries about weightloss yet. A well healed body is what I want. I just started puréed food yesterday with pumpkin soup and roast beef purée (not at the same time) Still taking 3 resource anyway to make sure I keep the protein up. Trying harder with water now that I'm on purée. -
