Mine apparently will get better with time when my body gets accustomed to the bile storage facility being gone. Your body should be accustomed to no GB? So I think u should delve deeper. What are your options? I can't remember how the USA health stuff works. Can you see a specialist? Can you get extra testing? I don't know that the sleeve can cause IBS? Maybe testing for intolerance? My NUT says lots of ppl are lactose intolerant as milk proteins are difficult for a normal stomach to process, let alone after sleeve. Do you keep a food diary? Can u isolate when it's happening? As in after certain foods or certain times of day. I was having what I thought was dumping at 3 days post op, turns out I can't do regular milk based protein drinks like sustagen.

I would say to a specialist? Ibs diagnosis post sleeve when no symptoms prior? I had my gallbladder out with sleeve and I am suffering with sudden onset fast bowel... Like no warning must toilet right now. Gurgling and pain in lower intestine, I think it is GB related. Don't give up on your sleeve, demand better answers.
  4. I think there seems to be a 2 week lull for a lot of sleevers. Not talking about numbers exclusively, but mindset also! It's almost like post wedding blues-- you spend months even years planning and then poof it's done! Step away from the scales. Concentrate in recovery. Don't borrow trouble! You are you! The biggest way to get down is to compare yourself to others, so don't! xx

    Any June 25Th Sleevers?

Better late than never! I had surgery Tuesday June 26 in Australia, which means June 25 in USA!! I'm really struggling with my hernias but the sleeve is great. I have no weightloss goals or expectations yet, although I have lost. I was 103 kilos June 21 and 92.6 now Which is 227 lbs and now 204 lbs. so what's that, 23 lbs? I'm afraid to put expectation on myself for the short term, high protein and healing are at the forefront for me. Just toying with puréed food for a couple of days! Yum!
  11. I know twin mums love these stories.. But! I have a friend who had 2 put back in her late thirties and had twins. Early forties she went back and said, just 1 please! --- transferred one and the egg split!! Haha she has a pair of frats and a pair of ID's. Needless to say, she is all done now! Does that mean you could have up to 6?

    Completely Bummed!

I'm 18 days out. scales don't matter ATM. Our bodies are busy. Doing all the things it normally does to survive PLUS healing from major surgery. Our system is experiencing a major reboot. Worry about healing and Protein not about scales. I know it sounds odd when this is a WLS, but the sleeve is forever, healing is only a few weeks. You could be PmSing or fitting off a virus or holding Water because it's hot or heaven knows. Hide the scale!

    Gallbladder Sludge

I had my gallbladder out when I did my sleeve. June 2010 I had twin boys. I was on a healthy pregnancy diet until giving birth, then ramped up the fats (milk, cheese, Peanut Butter, etc) to breast feed twins. First attack when bubs were 3 weeks old!! The gallbladder stores bile to process fat in digestion. More fat, more bile. When you change to low fat and the bile isn't used it is stored and sometimes forms stones. Then you go back to high fat and more bile pushes these stored stones thru the bile duct causing an attack.. So years of yo yo dieting means stones for many people and sudden weight loss and changes in food can cause stored stones to move. Here they have an increased risk or 5f's for gallbladder attacks: fertile (having had pregnancy recently) fat (bmi), fair (skin), forty and one I can't remember!

Have To Hold My Belly When I Walk

Start with spanx or shapewear and see if that helps before spending a ton on the others. My binder was $115 but I hate wearing stockings all the time and like the option to have it in or off in a snap and no need to move it to toilet.
