  1. YES!!!! I have been stuck at the same weight for 5 weeks now. I'm thankful I'm not gaining anything but daaaaaaaaaang! I've been hitting it harder at the gym and everything and nothing is coming off! I knew there would come a point where I would level off. I'm hungrier and can eat more now. I hope my fill on Monday will help!
  2. I was also banded in June and have lost 45 pounds since surgery. I too am kind of stuck right now. My weight has been bouncing around for the last 3 weeks instead of constant loss. Maybe this is normal? I guess our bodies are in shock at first and then it gets used to the much smaller amount of food? I suddenly can put down way more food than I should be able to. I am hoping that when I get a fill next week things will change. I'm watching my calories closer and hitting the gym hard! I signed myself up for Warrior Dash in April. Bring it! We can do this!!!!!!
  3. 6/19- down a total of 81 pounds (lost 40 before surgery)! Absolutely no regrets! Glad everyone else is doing great!!! This keeps me motivated!

    Headsup! Louisiana

Lisa, I am also a Heads Up participant! I was banded on 6/19 and I'm down 81 pounds (I lost 40 before the surgery). My surgeon is Dr. Thomas in Covington. Everything has been great so far! I have absolutely no regrets! I feel good and I'm active again. I'm back to jogging again and I'm working on my endurance. How is it going for you?
  5. I want to look them square in the eye and tell them "I found these magic pills and all the weight just fell off overnight! It's a miracle!!!!" It's as if everyone is expecting some miracle answer but the bottom line -lap band or not- you've eaten healthy, watched your portions, and got off the couch. I don't like the judgemental looks either so I just pick and choose who I tell. But you're not lying if you just tell them you're watching your portions and exercising!

  7. I didn't name my band but I did name my new pouch. I refused to go the rest of my life calling my new stomach a pouch. Her name is Velma. :-)
