35 Class of '95 here! Reading all of these posts has taken me for a walk down memory lane. I'm not sure anyone mentioned IOU sweatshirts, or Zcavs? These may be a Chicago thing though, as my hubby says he never heard of either. I used a can of aqua net Daily to sport my daisy quaf. I cringe now thinking about the damage I was doing to my hair.....and French rolling the pants how unflattering but I did it everyday. I cherish the day boot cut became the norm. Lol everyone... FYI i have all my clearances out of the way and am pushing for 7/26 as my surgery date. I would love to get down to my 20's girl weight of 130. My 20 th reunion is approaching fast 2015. I must close with saying "time totally flys" I don't want to waste another minute 100 lbs overweight!!!!

I have an appointment with a pulmonologist this Tuesday. What can I expect from at this appointment. I quit smoking 3 weeks ago. I'm a bit concerned that I won't be cleared.

I had a sleep study done about a year ago. It came back normal. What is involved in the pulmonary function test?

Also after I'm cleared from this appt I can set up a surgery date. Any ideas how long it takes for the office to clear you?

I have uhc ppo and did not have 5 years of 40 bmi yet i was still pre- approved. They also did not require many of the other tests other insurance require.

Oh I hear ya. I swear the people who are aware I'm doing this are so sick of me going on and on about all the steps I've gone through, and what comes next. I can't stop jabbering about it. Very excited!

I am close to setting a surgery date. It will be at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village Il. Any Kane Center patients out there?

I am pre-op now but I had a dietary consult last week and was told to eliminate tomato soup for at least 6 weeks after the surgery due to the acidity, and healing.

Any helpful tips on navigating this app would be gratefully appreciated, as I don't feel like I'm utilizing all the benefits available.

My surgeons office requires other testing prior to scheduling a surgery date. I had my psych eval and nutrition consult last week and am scheduled to see a pulmonologist for clearance on July 10th. Looking for tips regarding the stage i'm at? When should I start preparing for the 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery? Any clue on how much longer it will take until I can schedule a date?
