What can I expect at my first post-op follow up appt? I will be 10 days out. I never had a drain. I have 5 incisions, 1 due to a hiatal hernia repair.

I want to dance again! I think I'm a pretty good dancer, however I look rediculous dancing now. I want to be able to talk to the opposite sex without turning bright red and looking at my shoes. I want to get on stage and Karaoke again. These are just a few. I could go on and on and on............ -

Hi momytothree, I lost my father 6 months ago and I totally hear what you are saying. I have always used food a a cruch. I am currently 8 days post-op and I of course can't turn to food. I have been feeling much better physically, however I just can't find the energy to do the things I wanted to do in my recovery time (I.e organize house etc). I guess it's just going to be a long road.

My husband and I own a 35 foot cabin cruiser on lake Michigan, and I am first mate. I work the ropes jump in and out when docking etc. i am 7 days post op and was wondering if there are any boaters out there, and when you were able to resume your duties after surgery. The open water is my husbands life and I won't allow him to go out by himself.
