tmf, I lost 10 lbs pre-op and only 3 since surgery. I'd be ecstatic if I'd lost 13 in 3 weeks! I just need to lower my expectations for now I guess and hope it doesn't take too long to reach the "green zone".

I'm in the same boat! My first fill is Wednesday. I have only lost 13lbs which includes my pre-op diet. I don't understand how I haven't lost more weight in the past 3 weeks since I'm only eating about 600 calories a day. I know that we are suppose to focus on healing at this point and not worry about losing yet but this is depressing. I'm not cheating either. The only thing I'm doing wrong might be that I'm not drinking enough fluids. Any advice would be appreciated.

My surgery is today and I'm so excited. I don't go in until 1:50 and my surgery is scheduled for 3:20. It's going to be a long day with no food or water but I'm going to try to keep busy. I only lost 8lbs on my pre-op diet but the dr was pleased. I'll stay in the hospital overnight but that's ok with me. I'm so ready to start this new phase of my life. This site has been really helpful in getting me ready. Good luck to any other people getting banded today!

Hi all! I am schedulded to be banded on July 26. I have a question. I had my upper GI done this morning and the dr. said I have pretty severe reflux. Is this going to delay surgery? I knew I was having a little indigestion but had no idea it was so bad. I don't go for my pre-op appointment until the 24th. I don't want anything to delay surgery! I start my pre-op diet today. Looking forward to beginning my new banded life! Thanks! Stacey

The dr didn't say anything about a hernia. She said everything else looked fine. I almost wish I did have a hernia then maybe insurance would help pay because I'm a self pay patient lol. I guess I'll just wait to see if the dr calls me or talk to him at the pre-op appointment.

I'm getting banded July 26! I'm so excited but I'm so nervous! My dr. has me on a two week pre-op diet. I can't eat anything that has eyes. I guess protein shakes will become my new favorite meal.
