I'm getting sleeved at 8:30 in the morning!!! So excited.

Well guys....countdown begins. My surgery is on Tuesday. I am not sure what time yet. Dr's office said they would call me on Monday before noon to let me know what time to be at the hospital. I have everything I THINK I will need. WOW. I cannot believe it's almost here and that I have successfully completed TWELVE days of the liquid diet. GO ME!!!! Honestly, it hasnt been as bad as I thought it would be. Guess that's a good thing and hopefully I won't 'miss' food as much post surgery either. Weird though...I am not nervous one bit. I am so ready. This is a whole new chapter in my life and I am going for it. I will have my mother by my side through the whole thing. Husband will be home with the kids (1 and 3) and he really hasn't been supportive anyway during this process. But...I am ok with that. This is about my kids...and ME! ME! ME! For ONCE in my life...ME! I will keep you posted! Ht 5'7" HW 306 CW 283

I can't help with the hotel portion but I am currently on day seven of his preop diet. I purchased protein shakes from his office. Two week supply was $180. I chose the BariEssentials. Vanilla and chocolate. I am to have 4-5 shakes per day (4 if I use milk, 5 if water). I am also able to have sugar free jello or sugar free Popsicles as well as 8 ounces of chicken broth daily I was instructed to do 2 weeks of this and after 7 days I have lost 14 pounds so far with the shakes. Hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.

Hi all. I am having my surgery next month. I had a cholecystectomy in 2004 and was curious as to whether or not the post op pain is worse with the sleeve. I figure...I made it through that easy peasy so I'm hopeful that it has to be comparable. Any opinion would be greatly appreciated.
