I'm having tingling and numbness in my hand. Wondering if anybody else has experience this or is this just an isolated incident for me.

I know I'm definitely not getting the amount of protein that I need, especially today. I have to figure out a way to start getting more. -

I'm only 9 days post op and I had my first follow up with my surgeon yesterday. He took a look at my incisions and gave me the ok to start swimming. As long as your incisions are healed its ok. But I would wait for your surgeon to look at them first and confirm that your all healed before swimming.

Today Marks A Week For Me! 7 Days Is Finally Here!
ctaylor86 replied to alwayshavefaith's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 9 days post sleeve and I'm down 18 lbs as of yesterday. 5 more days on a liquid diet then can start mushy food. My nutritionist suggested scramble eggs. Just make them really soft and I heard adding cottage cheese to it makes it even softer. I'm also looking for other suggestions on soft foods to eat. Though I cannot wait to eat again, I'm really nervous and hesitant on how my new stomach is going to react. -

Down 75 Lbs In Just Over Two Months!

Wow congrats...I can only imagine how you feel. I'm only 1 week post sleeve and I've lost 18lbs and I'm thrilled. Can't wait to get to where your at. I'm only 26 as well and I'm hoping that I won't have too much excess skin. -
I am 7 days post sleeve and I'm also having trouble getting protein. I've tried optisource strawberry and caramel flavored and several different flavors in Isopure and just don't like the taste. I still try to sip on it but I know I'm not getting enough. Today is the first day that I'm sleeping all day and feel like I have no energy. I need to figure something out. Going to my post op appointment tomorrow so I'll discuss it with my surgeon. Thinking that I can try the unflavored powder and put it in my broth.

Hello, I'm only 6 days post sleeve and I have been walking up to an hour everyday. My surgeon only recommended 30 minutes but I'm so anxious to lose the weight that I'm doing more. I'm wondering if I might be causing any problems to my sleeve. I do feel a bit sore in my right side after but nothing too painful. Also, I am a stomach/side sleeper. So sleeping on my back hasn't been easy. I find myself sleeping on my left side and when I wake up, my stomach is in pain. I'm wondering if sleeping on my side is not safe to do. I'm also seeing that other sleevers are posting about having drains, I didn't have that and curious as to why not everyone gets a drain. My follow up appt is Tuesday and will discuss my concerns with my surgeon and will have my first weigh in. I can't wait to see if I've lost any pounds.

I was sleeved 6 days ago and have been having that burning sensation in my left and right side. My left side was hurting yesterday after an hour long walk, but My right side hurt when I sit up straight for too long and also when I woke up this morning. Not sure if its normal but your not the only one.

Any Regrets?

I'm 6 days post sleeve and so far no regrets. I love to eat...but that's what got me to weight I am now. I'm not anticipating when i get to eat again and not being able to eat as much as I use to, I'm sure its not going to be easy. But I'm just focusing on being in shape, healthy and having enough energy to run around with my 4 year old. -
Exercising And Sleeping
ctaylor86 replied to ctaylor86's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow...good for you. It will totally help you with getting the gas out. It is so uncomfortable for me to sleep on my stomach and though I can tolerate my side, when I wake up I'm in pain. I also had my gallbladder removed a few years ago and it took weeks for me too to sleep on my stomach. Thanks for responding I feel better knowing that I can't cause any damage by sleeping on my side or stomach. -
Exercising And Sleeping

Ok great. I'll keep walking and sipping. Thanks for answering my questions on the drain. I was starting to feel like , "should I have had one of those". -
I am 6 days post surgery and I have dry mouth as well. I'm also feeling like I just want to chug down water to quench my thirst but as i found the hard way, just a gulp instead of a sip is a bit painful and uncomfortable. I'm using ice chips to try to fight dry mouth.
