VABandster~ even with my leak, I did not recieve a fill under fluro. Why would you think that your pouch is stretched? Or are you like me and just kinda freaky with thoughts of that piece of plastic inside you? Try your fill first. You're probably just fine! When are you looking to come out here? Oooooooooo! Sounds like another reason to have an RR! I have heard from some places on this board that three days of liquids helps a stretched pouch. Is there any truth to that? I dunno. Just what I've seen posted. I'm sure though, if your willing to pay for it, you will find someone to do a fill under fluro for you. I believe that would be like with radiology and I can't imagine what that would cost, like a modified barrium swallow test. (isnt' that thousands?) Have a great day and keep us posted when you'll be here....would love to meet you!:biggrin1: -

Thanks, Rosie, but I have attended before and a recap is truly not warranted. I do much better with my social hour. Thanks though and good luck. -

Rosey80231~Have you been to one of those sessions yet? Sorry we'll miss you, but there is Saturday afternoon also. Is that day a possibility? For some of us, this "social hour" is quite effective! Connection to others that have had this done helps me tremendously. See if Saturday will work....have a great day! -

Okay, here's a thought. I think that maybe we should keep Tues the 13th on there at 7pm. It's the second tues of the month. Just always leave the second tues. of the month on there. (just cancel if no one can make it or there is inclement weather) Plus, we can add a day for out-of-towners coming in. So we can have Saturday at 12:30 on there too. I am quite sure I can make sat at 12:30. The only issue I might have with Tuesday is that it is supposed to snow sun and mon. (i suck at driving in the snow...people from Phx suck at driving in anything but sunshine!) So what does everyone think? Always leave the second tues of the month on there so you can plan work or sitters or whatever around that, and if we add another time, thats okay too. (I just love to go out to eat with adults...can you tell? heehee!) -

Mal~ I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. It is sad that both your guys went in the same year. We did that too. We lost all three of our pets in the same year. (they were 12 and 11 and 10) Hope your family finds a way to work through it. I feel sad for you! Mare~ I took your appointment today!!!! I called to make a fill appointment and jokingly said, you have anything for today? (ya right) and she said yes! So I took it! He put in .5 today. (hope it does okay) My first fill since the re-do. Little scared with how much it was. But all the last juice was still in there! Yeah! So I now have 1.8cc in there! Woo hoo! I hope food goes through!:omg: Um...girls....we still don't have a day for RR! Who all wanted Saturday at lunch? Who all wants evening Friday? Lap Dancer...opinion please? Mal, will you go if its lunch? Dynamo, any preference to you? Angie, are you really going to show up? Heehee! Drews? Dee, Mare....votes people! hahaaha! Saturday night?? Looks like three options there....:confused: -

Howdy! I'm back from Phoenix and I'm so glad! It was in the 90's and far too hot for me! Plus all the reasons I got out of that city came back to me quite quickly! The wedding was beautiful...up at the Anthem Country Club and the view was lovely if the desert does it for you. Okay, when are we meeting???? Can't figure it out from the posts! Dynamo~ did you have a great time? I can do lunch too! It may even be better for me to come up with the sun up with the winter coming! Mal~ Hi girly! Taynuh~ .2cc for me makes a huge difference. Congrats on feeling better! I plan to try and get about .3 put in before the holidays... Talk to you all soon...:biggrin1: -

Good morning! ShelbiCallie! Glad your first fill went great! I've noticed that people don't notice when you just carry food around on your plate or when you slowly eat that one piece of pizza for the whole party. It's great when you can truly blend in! (at least for me) Also, we had a "mock thanksgiving" a couple of weeks ago, cuz I had a turkey breast I needed to cook off, just be cautious with stuffing. It seems so soft and dissolvie (woohoo is that a word?) even with a ton of gravy...but oh my! That food was not kind to me. (thank goodness...I really really love it and I overdo it every year!) I just realized something...we have all been banded at different times, BUT....(except for Drewslou) this is all our first Holiday season with this band. Oh my this will be quite the learning experience for us all. We'll just have to share with each other and make it through it. Last year I gained 10 lbs from Thanksgiving to just after New Years. I looooove to bake and make candy, I have a new neighbor who is an awesome cook and my momma always makes a ton of goodies. The three of us really overdid it and shared plate after plate of stuff. (god it was great! )(ooops! no, not really, it was bad! Bad!:hungry:) I'm like Smeegle/Gorlum with my food.:decision: "Oh my Precious, Must eat the precious....No, no Lap Band is my friend!" Drewslou~ you look fantastic for Halloween! Did you ever think you would be able to dress and look so great for Halloween? When I get more weight off, I want to go as a sexy gothic witch.... Have a great one! Getting my schtuff ready to go to Phoenix... -

Mal~But you do make an adorable Girl Scout! I'm still with my fill from my revision, but I'm thinking of getting a small fill before the holidays. Like hopefully the night of RR which is.....heehee! Not a lot but like maybe .3cc. Sounds funny to be such a small fill, but I think it would help. Thanks for noticing the pounds...they do still keep coming off, just kinda slow. Things really are starting to head south though. Rats. Guess I'll start saving of the tummy lift. That cookie thing is neat, huh? As long as we don't use it...ha! Have a great one! -

Mal~ your pic was precious! My hubby and I were justs cracking up. (especially with the cocktail in that Cubbie's hand! Ha!) Yeah Nicnaknut~ It sounds like you can join us! (I'm sorry your daughter has to have surgery though...) Shelbiecalie~ let us know how your first fill goes! Tied2bfit~isn't it crappy how much more they get for scrubs in the extra sizes!!! But...you can take them in quite easily. I learned to sew my own scrubs cuz I'm so cheap. (and I liked the "funner" fabrics...we didn't have to wear any certain kind) ha! Soon though...you wan't have to pay that stupid plus size fee!!!!! And you'll have the selection that you want! Woo hoo! You'll probably be off your meds within the year too. Aint it great?! (wow, that sounded funny...everyone always asked me if I was "off my meds" ha!) And yes! Chart fast and get your butt over to RR! Everyone gets a two line entry regardless of what happened! ha! Have a great day, All! -

Well, from the dates on here, I am going to assume that I wasn't the only one who couldn't get on here yesterday. A whole day without my band buddies....eeeek:eek: Gotta share another NSV with ya...before my surgery my blood pressure was up to 150/95...I personally think that a lot of that was my nervousness over getting banded. After surgery I was averaging 130/90. I know. That still needed medicating, but it was never done. I sat down at a blood pressure chair at Target the other day, just for fun. And you know what!!!! 113/73 !!!!!!!! (I couldn't believe it so I did the one at Wallyworld too) OMG, everything is getting better! So a note to those of you who take HTN meds...check regularly as you lose weight. You could get to a point that they need reduced or discontinued! (disclaimer***with your doctors approval, of course:p) Marcy~ I've had issues with the Halloween candy too....I'll be so glad to get it out of my house.(and not the mouth way!) Every year I buy it early and every year it doesn't make it to the trick or treaters. I must do this to myself on purpose... Also, Marcy, the head thing with this is huge. Even if you think you don't have any issues, you "just like to eat" seems like something pops out. Make sure you give yourself time to work through it, with family, friends or on here...we're all here to listen! Okay girls.....I know I've asked before....did we all decide on a date for Red Robin? If Lap Dancer is here the 9th...are we doing the 9th or the 10th? (fri & sat) How long are you going to be here, Lap Dancer? When does Dynamo get home? Anywho....lets get a date. I can't miss another month! Have a great day! -

Good morning, Girls! Hey, great picture of you all...thanks for posting it. You have no idea how badly I wanted to make one of those nights! As for the job...Well, I was supposed to work last thurs, fri and sat. By wed. night, I was a basket case about having to go back to that place. I couldn't eat my band was sooooo tight. (Me not eating, just a hilarious thought!) Then my sweet little boys managed to pass this incredible head cold to me. So there I am...5 am on Thurs morning....having a very Ferris Bueler moment...back and forth with this "do I go?" "do I call off?" After sitting at my vanity crying, my husband told me to call off. So I did. (no arm twisting there!) And after talking with my sweety, I called them and resigned. Oh My God What A Relief!!!! I picked up my one and only check yesterday and I don't ever have to go back. I hope I won't be kicking myself in the A** later because I can't get hired anywhere, but that's just the risk I had to take. Thank you guys so much for all the support and listening to me whine about it. You all are so great. On to another story...I have this wedding I'm going to the first week of November. So, guess what I need...clothes. Lord I hate to clothes shop. Particularly for formal wear. My mom is so paranoid that I am going to show up in jeans and a tshirt. (wouldn't I just love to!) But it's at a country club in Anthem (Phx) so I hafta dress nicely. My Wes is a ring bearer and will be in a little tux, I got the little guy a little suit (didn't even know they came that small for little 4 year olds) and my hubby has a gorgeous suit from his brother's wedding. That leaves me. Okay, fine. I don't really even know what size I wear anymore. So, I went to Dress Barn. They have nice clothes there. And guess what!!! I can fit in those sizes again! They max at size 24 and I had "outgrown" that store a few years ago. Not only can I fit in their clothes, but my skirt/pant size is 18 and my blouse size is 18 or 20 depending on the cut. And the neat top I got was a 1X!!!!!!!! I can't even remember when I could fit in a 1X!!!!! So, had to share my little NSV with you. The scale is still stuck pretty much on about 50lb loss, but wavers back and forth a few pound from day to day. And, Want2bme, this will crack you up. I went shopping with my mom and had to hear about...dunt dunt dunt....The Bra! Yes, this dreaded, broken down, wrong sized, cheap Wallyworld thing I wear under my t-shirts. I have been trying to get down just 5 more lbs before I purchase new ones, but just had to do it yesterday. Okay, whats worse than shopping for formal wear? Bra shopping. These pretty blouses and outfits are somewhat fitted with the pretty dart shaping in the front, and my boobs where not "up" in the area they are supposed to be for these fitting outfits. Kinda funny at the time but really annoyed my mom.:pound: I gave her the "are you sure they aren't supposed to be at my skirt line?" (Some outfits actually looked like a guy in drag!) So I bought new ones. The inch number went down quite a bit, but the cup size didn't. Weird, huh? Just had to share my shopping with you. It's neat to see the sizes go down, but at the same time, I think I need to exercise or something cuz things are hanging pretty badly. A lot of those clothes look just as bad as they did before, only in a smaller size. (lord I hate to exercise!) Nicnaknut~congrats! Glad to see you in BandLand!!! Angie38! You're still out there! yeah on how great you are doing! Pop on more oftenl Talk to you all later! Sorry so long guys! I miss you! Let me know what day we are doing RR in Nov! -

Good morning, Gals! Well, let me start out with saying thanks for all the well wishes and "miss yous". I forgot how busy you get when you work and run a house. Holy Cow! I miss you all too. I can't make it tonight either. Rats. Besides the kids and me getting sick, I have Cub Scouts to try and do tonight and Chris is in Tennessee on business....and the Cubbies Pop Corn sale forms need to be in today, hafta find a sitter for the kids cuz he can't go to his meeting tonight and the gramma that I thought could do it for an hour tonight just told me her nephew just passed away (he's been very ill, it's a blessing) and, and, and....well, now you see why I haven't been on the board very much. Thanks for asking about my new job, All! I'm not sure how long I'll be there. I am able to do the work but I'm so overqualified for it, it's sort of making me nuts and its only been three days. I was a Supervisor for so long, I was already trying to get the person who was training me to do her job correctly. God Zooks, I wonder what they are saying about me over there! Oh well. Think I'll call my ED over at my old facility and see if he can get me on with the company I worked with so long in AZ. I'm hoping that being a big corporation they run this one similarly to what I am familiar with. Plus, I'm a rather social person (I talk a lot:D) and I'm a few years older than the other people in the kitchen. On break these women were talking about the foulest topics. When did people start thinking that discussing stuff that only belongs in an adult shop was okay? It really made me feel old and out of touch, but I just don't think I can work well with people that are so dirty. (And I'm definatly not a prude, by any means, but maybe by todays standards I am????) In any event, the whole thing made me very uncomfortable. And they blast Rap and Hip Hop music in the kitchen...oh gawd. 5 minutes of that makes me want to kill something and I made it through an 8 hour shift. I figure I'll hang out there for the money (the actual work is very easy) but continue to look for something that better suits me. This aint it. (At all!:omg:) Now you all are updated, and also, thanks for listening. You guys are my good friends now and it's nice to share with you all. The positive side is we only get 10 minutes to scarf whatever is left after meal service, and you know what? I can't eat in that short of time. (man oh man I used to be able to put away a bit of food during that!) So my clothes are fitting better after only a week! I'm going to hafta start taking a protein shake cuz I just can't get any protein down when I'm working. I need a shaker bottle to take my powder in and just use their milk and shake 'er up. Well, sorry so long. I'm really going to miss tonight too.:think Please try and post some pics...I'll be missing you and thinking of you. Do we have a date for next month, cuz I will definately get it off. Have a great day! -

Okay...who all showed up? Who took pictures? Mal~you know how to post them now! I'm counting on you guys. Are you going the 15th also? :hurt I start my new job tomorrow morning...oh my. I start at 6:30am.:faint: Hope that I get up in time. But I'm off at 2:30 and have time to pick up my little guy from school. Let's hope it all falls together! -

Dynamomini~ see, with this new job thing, I'm not sure if I'll be working that night. Prolly not as I requested to work days. But my hubby leaves for Tenn for business on the 14th, so I hafta ask my momma to watch the kids if I go then. Plus, cuz I didn't let him know soon enough schedule wise, my hubby closes on the 9th, so I also hafta do the momma watch the kids thing that night too. Freak storms also come into play this time of year too. So, I gotta see either night. So Goils...is everyone planing for both nights? I can start my planning and see. I think my best bet is for the 9th. My background check is still being processed and chances are I won't be working by tuesday. HAHAHAHA! Have you ever seen anyone make something so simple so complicated? I'm great at it! -

Hi, Girls! Tied2bfit~ your post brought a tear to my eyes. I was a dietician in a skilled nursing facility when I lived in Phoenix and helped take care of some of those patients that did not do well with gastric bypass. I knew then it was not for me, regarless of how big I got. Lafs~ Not sure I've seen you post on here before...exactly how far did you come? Sounds like countries away! Congrats on your new band and your new life. If you choose to come back for fills, I would love to meet up with you. I'm an hour from Denver in The Springs. Want2bmeagain~ You're posts are great. I almost died when I saw the term "geezeohpete". I thought I was the only one (and now my kids) that used that term. I think you must be a long lost sister or something. (time to have that long talk with my mom....hahahahaha:pound:) Okay, about the Red Robin night....I don't care which night anyone chooses. Not sure if I'll be able to make any of them. :hurt But I'll do my best, just need to make arrangements for whatever is chosen. More is always good, but Dynamo, are you out of town for a while this month? Drews, Mal, any planning ideas? Miss you gals! Have a great day all. I'm getting excited about tuesday...Josh Groban has a Christmas album coming out...you know how I am! Gonna start with the Christmas music early this year!:bounce:
