    Sleeved 7/16/12

Glad to hear surgery went well, I hear the n/v is bad after surgery. That's something I'm not looking forward to. I do hear it gets better. Walk, walk, walk is what everyone says. I hope you start feeling better soon. We will be praying for you. I'm a firm believer that if he brought you to it he will bring you through it. The good thing is you are remaining positive.

    This Is The Day....!

Keep you and all your fellow sleevers in prayer. Give all fears and worries to God and leave them there, for it is well done.

    Surgery Tomorrow

I must say that this forum has been God sent. There are a lot people here that have undergone some of the same things that you have and have traveled down the same road that you are about to embark upon. These individuals will be able to offer you advice and support as you start your weight loss journey. I myself am awaiting surgery so I can relate to some of what you're feeling. I have to say that this is one of the scariest surgeries for me also. I wish you the best of luck and will continue to keep you in prayer. _/\_
  6. Congratulations on your new FNP role. How was it transitioning from nurse to Provider? I am scheduled to graduate on December 14. I have completed all my classes, I just have one clinical semester to complete this fall. As the day get's closer, I can hardly believe I have made it and I'm getting increasingly nervous about having to take on a new role. After working in the clinic all day, I ask myself "Do I really want to do this?" It's so much responsibility. I can tell you I was always the inpatient patient watching the clock in the waiting room. I now have a new found respect for the doctors, lol. I am waiting to get sleeved and have not etched a date in stone. I have to first wait to see how my clinical rotation will be scheduled and how I will be able to juggle it with work. I do think that this surgery will help in all areas. It's so hard to be on your feet all day seeing patients when you're overweight and shortwinded yourself!

    Body Dysmorphia In Reverse

I can so relate to this. I mean when I see myself in pictures, I'm like who the heck is that! I can hardly believe that it's me. I wonder, man did other people see this, OMG they must be horrified! I don't think it really sinks in initially. When I started taking before pictures of myself, I couldn't believe my eyes. I dare not post them until I have some after pictures to soften the blow! LOL
