AA Sleevers; where are you; what's your status??
SweetTee replied to zoelifechick's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello there! I'm new here and I have finally picked a date. I am scheduled to be sleeved on October 5, 2012. I'm nervous and also at peace with this decision. This will be the first thing i've ever did for "me". Can hardly wait to join the losers bench. I know this won't be an easy ride, but I pray that I don't fall off! -

Just Curious......what Would You Like To See?
SweetTee posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
For so long i've been overweight and in being so I can't tell you the last time I've really SEEN parts of my body. I use to enjoy things like painting my toenails. Now I have to bend and damn near perform acrobatics to even get a good look at my feet. Shaving my WhoHaw has also become an acrobatic task. Trying to steady the mirror in one hand and the razor in the other.....I tell you it's exhausting. I'm probably lucky to still be alive and not have bleed from severe lacerations!!! I've almost completely managed to build a shed over my "tools"! I can hardly wait for the day to be able to get a good look at some of those "things" i've lost touch with. I know this may be going a little to far and into details, but when I'm with my hubby, what's the fun when I can't position myself "up there" and get a good look at what's going on down there!!! I tell you, carrying around this whole other person has become mentally and physically exhausting. I can't wait for my sleeve! Just out of curiousity, what would you like to see. -

I discussed it with my PCP and she was ok with following me up post op. I plan on seeing her once I return and letting her handle my post op needs. -

Start My Pre Op Two Weeks Aug 15Th
SweetTee replied to smtaarrie's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
I know this two week diet will be the hardest thing for me. I am a bread and pasta lover and I realize I will have to file for a divorce from those foods. From what I hear on the forum, they are pretty hard to handle post op as well. Having to cook for my husband and kids will be a test of my will power, but because I know how important this is to my health, I refuse to submit when the day comes. But, without a doubt, I know this will be the hardest thing for me. Good luck on your pre op diet and upcoming surgery. -
OMG in less than a month! Shouts out to you! You look great!

I am just wondering if there is anyone out there who has used Dr. Kelly and knows if he offers financing? Does he do some sort of inhouse financing if needed?

Does Dr. Kelly Offer Financing?
SweetTee replied to SweetTee's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Yeah, I corresponded back and fourth with Omar and Dr. Kelly does not do any type of inhouse things himself. Omar said he'd gotten burned a few times and does not like to do any of that anymore. I 'm still in the deciding phase. By the end of this month, I will have chosen a doctor and sealed a date. This is just such a difficult decision and I definately want to make an informed one. Thanks to all of you for your input. I figure if it's meant for me to use Dr. Kelly or any other physician for that matter, then it will all work out in my favor when the time comes (meaning money wise). Being self pay on a budget, I want to have the safest surgery with the least cost to me of course. I'm just praying and patiently waiting. -
Pictures In Tj For Those Who Have Yet To Decide
SweetTee replied to made2beme's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Beautiful pictures. For some reason, I pictured Tj to be some run down place with crowded buildings but everything is actually beautiful. I'm definately feel better. -

Does Dr. Kelly Offer Financing?
SweetTee replied to SweetTee's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Yeah, I really was trying to see if I could finance the other thousand in house. Really was trying to avoid digging in any other money if I could. But I guess if I must than I will because ultimately its for my health. -
Does Dr. Kelly Offer Financing?
SweetTee replied to SweetTee's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I could I guess. I was originally referred to Dr. Almanza by a friend, she went alone and said that everything was ok. I guess i'm not to thrilled about staying at the recovery house, I rather like my privacy, esp if I'm not feeling up to par. I would love for my husband to be there, but I hear going to the hotel pretty much leaves you on your own. I would at least like some sort of medical follow up for the first 24 hours. -

I was originally planning on using Dr. Almanza, but since I may have to go alone I am considering switching to Dr. Kelly. I just don't want to have to postpone my surgery any longer if I can avoid it. I see Dr. Garcia has an advertisement for a special posted on this forum. Any info about him? -

I never downloaded the iPhone app. I go through the Internet and sign in there. There is a button at te bottom of the page that gives you the option to view the whole site. There you can see everything. I never choose it because I hate zooming in and out (my eyes are getting to bad for that)! -
Aah, that's one of my dreams to. I'm so tired of wearing the taupe or black bras. (Those are the only ones that fit fat people). What I wouldn't give for a pair of underwear that doesn't disappear in my a** or slide under my stomach!
