You need to get that checked out. Do you sweat at lower heart rate? If you are moving into heat exhaustion or stroke you will stop sweating. But no sweating ever is a good thing to talk to a physician about.

Do I really need to go to the ER...?
CBT replied to Keepgoing247's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sometimes it's such our challenge to learn to take care of ourselves after not doing it for so long. Add a fever and making decisions is hard. I do think you ought to go to the ED. -

My understanding is that we develop allergies over the life span. We develop allergies to things we previously have not been allergic to as our body increases its his one response to an irritant. For example when I was a teen, the owner of the pizza company I worked for developed a severe Allergy to flour! I hope he gets a good referral to an allergist and some instruction about how to stay safe. A list of typical allergens would also be helpful. Get well soon!

Met Someone Who Gained Back Half Their Weight After Vsg
CBT replied to Sleeved&Hopeful's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The number one predictor of long term (2+ years) success is regular exercise. There is a connection between this and lifestyle changes as well as reduction in depression associated with emotional eating. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX -
does water make you feel yucky?
CBT replied to steelergirl's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I had Water aversion twice during early recovery. I adjusted the water temp and that helped the first time along with sips. The second time that didn't work and I added Sobe Lifewater for about a month! I'm 5 months post op and drinking room temp plain water again. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX -
Sounds like you got too full. If you get pain in the breast bone you have had too much or not chewed. Since you are drinking CoW I'd say slow waaaayyy down and try an ounce over a half hour. Butter may be a bad idea. Some ppl really can't tolerate grease. Try again! Good luck. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX

Several women in a different VSG group who are 5 months out are having leg cramps from lack of potassium per their docs. Because its traveling, I would read the criteria for blood clots/DVT just to be safe. The sensations are different. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX

That sounds more like you would benefit from a PPI like Prilosec. Really slow sips over a looooong time. You're sleeve is swollen and easily irritated. Temperature may help too. Cold Fluid versus warm/hot, for example. The surgical gas happens independent of eating or drinking. Happy Healing!
