    Football Season... Without Eating.

    For this week drink a V8 or tomato juice during the game, it might help. Next week make a band friendly pizza. Ground turkey, spaghetti sauce & melted mozzarella, skip the crust. Good luck. Hook em Horns!!!!!

    Not Much Weight Lost And Hi Yall

    Ok Whitney, this may seem a little harsh and mean but I think you might need a little tough love. It sounds like you are only putting in a half ass attempt at this. The band is only going to do for you what you allow. We all could eat more that 1 cup of food but we stop at a cup. You log your food Monday - Friday. What happens on Sat & Sun? Free for all?? And you only log the food not the calories, etc.? Do you want this? Cause it doesn't sound like it to me.... That being said, it's time to change. Tomorrow is a new day and the beginning of your new life. You will get a ton of tips from everyone here. We are all here to help. I KNOW YOU WANT THIS & CAN DO IT!! We believe in you and will support you every step of the way. Sorry if you feel I'm being too mean. I say it all with love.

    Question

    I'm 7 months post op an have no problems eating pasta or bread. Everyone is different, it's trial and error for us. If you do try take small bits and chew like crazy.

  7. Had a good workout today. I actually missed exercising this week.....Did I just say that? Me miss exercising? Wow have things changed! I Love it!!!!!

    You Had Your Surgery And ..

    I'm loving me!!!! It has been so very long since I felt good about myself and now, I truly enjoy being me. I wear cloths that are fitted (no longer wear tents), I enjoy exercising (I can't believe I just said that) and I love the looks I keep catching from my husband. I love my band cause it got me to love me again!!!!

    What Would You Do?

    I agree with oneangel. I would wait to have another fill after my vacation. You do not want to be on vacation and not able to eat. You would be miserable.
  14. You are not the only one. I do the same thing. It took me over 1 month to get under 200 lbs. I was at 201 and couldn't break it. I did everything I was supposed to do but in my head I kept thinking I will never weigh under 200. Once I finally hit that goal, the weigh started coming off again. Now I'm stuck at 190, same problem.... my head is stopping me. Uggghhhh.
  15. Woke up yesterday with lower back pain. Dr said it was from loosing so much weight & sleeping on my stomach (stomach alot flatter now & curves the back differently). Interesting NSV...

  16. I've been banded 6 months, lost 57 lbs and feel pretty comfortable with the band lifestyle.......until today. I got a small (.02cc) just over a week ago. Been feeling like I was in the green zone. As with most I'm tighter in the mornings, therefore often wait about 2 hours to eat Breakfast. I eat slow, small bits, chew chew chew, Protein first. Got it all down. Until today.... Day started as usual, had a poached egg and some turkey spam. After eating about half I got the signal that I was full so I stopped. Then I started getting the slim in the mouth and PBed. It came from nowhere. Then lunch, 2 bits into a sandwich I knew I was in trouble, got the stuck feeling...PBed that up too. Later in the afternoon I was hunger so I had 1/4 cup of cottage cheese, sticking with soft foods as a safety measure. No problems. dinner was salmon, light flakey fish so it shouldn't be a problem. I took really small bites and waited 1-2 minutes between bites. Sure enough after about 4 bites I got that feeling again. As I got up from the table I PBed A LOT all over the floor. Wow this has never happened before. Something really upset my band today. Of course about 2 hours after dinner I'm hunger but was not going to upset my band more. I drank a Protein shake, took about 30 minutes to drink it. I could feel it gurgling through my band. My conclusion, something upset my band. Could be the 100 degree days, allergies, something I did or didn't do when eating breakfast, or who knows. I am proud of myself for seeing the signs and not trying to push things. Living with the band you never know what is in store for the day. I'll have to see what tomorrow brings, it might have to be a day of liquids. My little angle may need some time to settle back down. Just wanted to share my day, see if this has happened to others.

    Tightness Fluxuates?

    Yes completely normal. Plus you will find some days its tighter than others there are many causes for this TOM, weather, stress, etc.... one bandster said her band was like a toddler you never know what you are in for. I've been banded for 7 months, comfortable with my restriction, loosing weight yet today my band is so tight that I'm doing liquids. Yesterday I could have eaten a horse, who knows what tomorrow will bring. It keeps us on our toes.

    Is Salad A Red Flag Food?

    I eat salads all the time without any problems. I have read posts where people have had issues with some lettuces, and say the darker greens are easier on the band. I have never had an issues and eat all types of lettuces.

    Had A Revelation This Morning!

    I agree with therealme, I am also 7 months in & 60 lbs down. I eat anything I want. The big difference is I don't want the junk. I want to not have to take meds for my blood pressure, I want to wear a bathing suit at the beach with a smile, I want to run and play with my daughter, I want so much that the junk foods stopped me from having. That being said, I do have treats every once in a while. All in moderation.

    Vitamins

    Everyone has their own preference when it comes to Protein shakes. I like Adkins Advantage for premade and unjury for powder. As for Vitamins I take EcoDrink every day, its a powder you mix with Water so its liquid. I get it at Sams. My nutritionist appoved it for me. I don't like the gummy ones.
