Best friends are cats......

Marci (Ms Bad News) is right. It will probably take several fills, you have started the banbster hell stage of the journey. You will be through it, in the mean time eat like you have restriction, 1 cup food, Protein first, small bites, chew chew chew. You will start to see results. Best of luck to you.

Wildrose is right. What I can tell you is if you live the banded life you will see results. It seems like my surgery was yesterday, yet here I am 9 months later & 68 pounds lighter. Good luck on your journey.

Vetrrans, Guru's, Experienced Lap Banders!! Help!
♕ajtexas♕ replied to skintyprincess's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like you are too tight and need some fill removing. You can gain weight when the band is too tight. Do you log your food? I use myfitnesspal, eat 1200 calories a day, 70g protein. I eat protein first then veggies and sometime carbs (if still hungry). 1 cup of food per meal. Hope this helps. -
I HEARD YOU! We can talk about pp she's off looking at her nails.

Great job! The scale is only haft the story. Measurements are just as relevant. Enjoy the loss!!

There is a weight watchers group here. Check them out. Do a search for WW. I dont belong to WW but I have a banded friend that did it and was very successful. Good luck.

That would not be pbing. That would be plain old vomitting. Don't want to do that, causes bands to slip. constant pbing can cause slippage too so don't want to do either.

Getting Banded October 31St
♕ajtexas♕ replied to mzyunique1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That sounds scary... Hope ya'll are a nice bunch. Welcome & good luck on your journey. -
PBing the food is in the pouch. There is no throwing up motion. You burb and there's your food. This happens when you take too big a bit, don't chew it enough and/or eat to fast. It sounds like you slimmed and pb'd the bit up. Now, back to doctors orders. You are still healing. Just cause the food goes down doesn't mean you are not hurting things.... Ok lecture over. Take care.

Welcome diva. Congrats on your new journey. You'll live this site, lots of great friends here. We are here to offer support, advise, and sometimes we get silly with a little humor (watch out for princesses and dragons). Love to hear your story so post often. Now rest up and heal. Take care. -
The slim happens first then the food goes either down your band or back up. PBing is the back up.

Need Some Council Fellow Bandsters

I love my support group. We meet tomorrow night too. Nothing beats being surrounded with fellow bandsters to motivate you. Your on your way! -
I would research the appeals process with your insurance company. You might be able to fight them, would your doctor help you fight them?
-
Did your insurance co decline you or do they not cover wls in general? You might be able to appeal. Another option is financing. I was self pay and my doctors office offered financing. In the mean time try Maddys advise. She did amazing before her surgery. Stick around here and we'll support you every step of the way. Good luck to you.

Here we are having a nice afternoon exchanging recipes and look who shows up. Kiss kiss pppb!

It's not that bad. And it is preventable, follow the band rules and you will see success. The band changed my life. I love my band with all the quirky things it does.
