    How to cheat on your band

    I am not sure of your reasoning behind this topic. Yes, we all can eat around the band, but WHY????? Why are you doing these things? the band is just a tool and just like any other tool it can be used incorrectly. I choice to use the band to help me with my mission. to loose weight and to maintain my weight goal. the band helped me do just that and for that I am truly grateful. Everyone gets what they put into there weight loss journey. It sounds like you got a list of how to work around the band.....

    Ok first, just breath. Relax. You have had a lot of s h it to deal with and you got off track. That's ok. it happens. B-52 is right. listen to your band. It is working the way it is supposed to. Focus on that. The key is when you do get hungry you eat the right foods, PROTEIN! You can do this!!!
  5. I have had a glass of wine every night since I got the band. Yes it is empty calories but I count them and enjoy my wine.

    How much fill?

    Don't get obsessed with the numbers. Everyone is different. Ask yourself, are you eating no more than a cup of food per meal, able to go 3-4 hours without feeling hungry and most important are you loosing weight? If all these answers are yes then great, you do not need any more Fluid in your band. Everyone is different regarding the amount of fluid in their band. Look an CarolinaGirl lost 140 pounds and has never had a fill.... some patients feel restriction right out of the box, others need their band almost to max. Go with what feels and works right for you. It sounds like you are doing great, just keep it up. As you loose you may need a fill to help you along, just don't be in a rush to get there.     Im back.

    I mix a can of tune with 2 tablespoons of relish (about 40 calories) and sometimes a little mayo. It fills me up every time.Or I put it on a salad with a tablespoon of light ranch dressing. I have eggs almost every morning for breakfast, scrambled with 2 oz of turkey spam. Dinner is 4oz of lean meat (chicken breast, turkey burger, tilapia, or samon) and a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of veggies. I eat a high Protein, low carb diet. It has worked for me for almost 2 years now. I don't miss the carbs anymore.. But that is just me, you will find other successful bandsters who eat carbs and have lost bunches too. Find a plan that works for you. As for budget, it takes more time to plan and prepare your meals at home, but it is a lot cheaper than eating out and in the long run a lot better!!!

    getting hungry, not satisfied

    Eat your Protein, drinking Protein shakes will never satiny your hunger, IMO. My typical day is Breakfast 1 egg &2 egg whites scrambled, 2 oz turkey spam. 184 cal, 22g protein lunch 1 can tuna & 1 greek yogurt, 200 cal, 30g protein dinner 4ox chicken breast, 1/2c veggies, 140 cal, 23g protein Snack 1/4c dry roasted peanuts, 160 cal, 6g protein. Hope this helps.

    5.0 thank you for acknowleging the unknown.... lol Cj focus on Protein first. Pack your lunch for work. A can of tuna is full of protein and only 100 calories. It fills me up every time. I eat a high protein low carb diet and it has worked so far. You don't need a lot of funds to eat right, you just need to plan and shop for it. Good luck to you, and welcome back.

    I got my band because I was tired of the yo yo diets. I lost 80 pounds in ten months and have maintained since December. It was the best 10K I have spent on myself! Good luck with your decision.
