How Much Do These Fill Cost High To Low
♕ajtexas♕ replied to SandyC2's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sandy, your response to missy was uncalled. You asked and she answered. Fill prices range from $100 to $1000, with lots of factors influencing the price. If you fear you will have a difficult time paying for the maintenance of the band then I recommend reconsidering it. Too many patients have complications because they can't afford to go to the doctor. Just my 2 cents. -
Mad said i couldn't count past 10.....crying now

Doing the happy dance! Congrats!!

A slider is a food that never gets stuck just slides right past the band: ice cream, chocolate, chips, mash potatoes, etc...
-
Have to use both hands to count. Can't be admiring one while counting.

I feel so good I could dance on the rooftop! I'm off all high blood pressure meds, no longer pre-diabetic, down 5 dress sizes and 68 lbs. I walk the stairs in my office (on the 8th floor) everyday, all day. Yes, it gets better post op. It gets great!

Girl, why would you want a fill if you had stuck episodes? My 2 cents. Mix up your calorie intake, more one day less the next. Range from 900 to 1200. Stay away from mushie sliders, more protein (fish is good and easy to eat). Plus take your measurements, bet they have changed. Only get a fill if you can eat more that a cup of food per meal and you get hungry 2 hrs or so after the meal. You don't want to be too tight. Hugs! You will get past this!!

Couldn't stop myself....

Have you talked to your doctor? Did your doctor give you a meal plan? You mentioned that your ins denied the nutritionist, i strongly recommend you pay or a visit yourself. It is important that you follow a health meal plan for yourself. Everyone is different. My nutritionist has me on a 1200 calorie diet. But, my post op diet was not calorie restricted it was focused on healing. It is not unusual to gain weight during the post op diet. Hang in there and as I said talk with your doctor and nutritionist.

Futurebandster, I am so very sorry that you had complications, I do hope that you have recovered physically from your ordeal. Hopefully now you can focus on recovering emotionally. This is an open forum with rules that you might read. Your language and attaching fellow users are against such rules. This was a clean (heated but clean) debate before your post. You are out of line and to be honest, whatever point you were trying to make was lost in your curse words. Best of luck to you and please take Cheryl's advise and seek anger management help! Cheryl - I ditto what CG said. I respect your advise & thoughts. Thanks for all the great input!
