Every day I face that fear. Even now that I am at my goal weight I fear that I'll gain all my weight back. But I have this tool that helped me loose the weight and will now help me maintain my weight. It is the best thing I have ever done for myself!

Your first week post op is not about weight loss, it's about healing. You just had major surgery, you're swollen and need to heal. Please do not worry about how much weight you've lost, that will come after you have healed. Best of luck to you.

That is so awesome. Congrats!

True Results have patient advocate and nutritionist on staff, give them a call and ask for more information. I went through True Results in Austin and got arm loads of information regarding the diets. Good luck to you.

All fruit doesn't sound very balanced to me. I agree with Floridays, its a question for the professionals.

I can't post images on my Signature, I'm desperate!

Polly, Try opening the picture, right click and select copy image and paste it on your signature. That's what I do. If you get an error copy that error and PM it to Alex for help. Good luck! -
Welcome and congratulations in starting your new healthy life. The band was the best thing I did too. Lots of great people here, lots of support and love (a few jokes too!). Good luck to you.

I understand! bits should be about the size of your pinky nail (yes that's small!) and the other thing hard for me is waiting that minute between bits. Good luck and keep posting. This site has been such a great help in my success.

~~~Big Hugs~~~ Completely understand how you feel. I was self pay because my insurance didn't cover wls. It was the best 10k I have ever spent! Hang in there, work out the finances and in the mean time hang around here and read up on the band and it's lifestyle. I was banded in February and in ten months lost 75 pounds, I followed the band rules, didn't cheat and have completely changed my eating lifestyle. I no longer let food control me, now I control it! More important than that, I love myself again! It is a great feeling, a feeling you deserve. So hang in there and don't give up. Take care.
Welcome Decarla. Sounds like you are doing great. Remember now is the time to heal, try not to worry about weight loss, that will come after you heal. Look forward to hearing your progress. Good luck! -
Great blog Kime-lou. You are so right, we need to tell our story and respect others to do the same. This journey is not easy and a place like this is our sanctuary, let's respect it. Thanks!
Surgery on Tuesday returned to a desk job following Monday.
It depends on your doctor. I don't eat or drink 2 hours before my fill. Then I do liquids 24 hours & mushies 24 hours after a fill. But that's what my doctor orders. I suggest you call your doctors office and ask if they have any orders for before or after the fill. Good luck to you!
Congratulations on your progress. It sounds like you are doing really good and you'll be at that 100lb mark before you know it!
Watering mouth and slips
♕ajtexas♕ replied to mike gard's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It never hurts to call your doctor. You are probably fine. Might suggest liquids for today to give any irritation to go down. Take care. -
First, relax it will be okay. liquids is a great plan, then do mushies for a day or two and slowly go to solids. Also try using a minute timer when you eat. Even after 10 months i have problems eating too fast and taking too big a bit. If you still have problems call your doctor and demand he take some fill out. Remember he works for you and if the fill is too much for you then you need less. Good luck you will be fine. It is frustrating, but you can do this.
CaWannaBand is right. Plus loose skin can be surgically fixed. You are young and that is an advantage. I wish I did this back when I was younger. Only regret is not doing it sooner. Good luck to you.
