    8.5 cc in my 11cc realize band

    I just wanted to tell my experience with "the green zone". I feel like I'm in the green zone. I eat about 1 cup of food a meal, do my Protein first. I could very easily eat more but I choose not to. I can go 3-4 hours without feeling hungry. But, if I'm bored I start thinking "what can I eat?" (bordom eater!) Evenings are the hardest. This hasn't changed and it never will. I have to battle the head every day. I have also found that if I don't eat enough protein I get hungry sooner and eat a lot more. I don't think the green zone is as easy as some say. It's not for me anyway. I battle the head everyday. Good luck to everyone.

    Final check in: 1/1 – 1/4 = 10.96 1/5 – 1/11 = 28.64 1/12 – 1/18 = 21.62 1/19 – 1/25 = 32.14 1/26 - 1/31 = 28.76 Total for January: 122.12 !! I did it!!!!!
  11. The band is just a tool, it is not a guarantee that you will loose weight. If this challenge motivates you through the first post op months then do it. It takes a lot more than the surgery to be successful at this. If you feel you do not deserve to win then you can always withdraw & the award will go to the next in line. Good luck to you!

    Need a little help

    If I could keep liquids down I would evaluate my eating. Bit size, amount of chewing and time between bits. This is still something I slip up on, very easy to go back to old habits. I would try a meal cutting my food even smaller that I was, focus on really chewing and time a minute between bits. If I still pb'd after that meal I would go for an unfill. If I was having issues with liquids, I wouldn't wait, I'd call my doctor immediately for an unfill. That's what I would do. Good luck.

    Chinese Food?

    I love Chinese food. I order anything that is not fried meat. There are lots of shrimp stir fries or port or chicken. Yumm might have to get me some this weekend. Enjoy!

    Blew past my goal!

    Two months ago my doctor said as far as they were concerned I was at goal, 175 lbs. I was happy with that and started onto the maintenance stage of my journey. Last month I gained 2 lbs, first time I had a gain but hey holidays. Doctor’s office was still very pleased and said that my weight will vary like that on maintenance. Then a dear friend here on LBT put out a challenge “100 miles in January”. Walk or run 100 miles during the month of January. I was in! I needed something to get me moving more. I reached the 100 miles on Monday; my total should be around 120 miles for the month. (go me!) Today I went back to the doctor, weighed 171! (lost 6 pounds in 4 weeks) I haven’t seen that much loss since the beginning months of this journey. So, what did I do different? My eating was the same as it has always been 1200 calories a day, etc…. The only thing different is the increased walking for the challenge. I am so happy with myself. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Okay, maybe a tummy tuck and….. Well guess I could ask for more. I love & respect my band. Yellow rose you serve me well, thank you!

    Just Dance with the Wii

    I hate exercise too. You are right about finding something fun to do and the Wii is great for that. The Resort Games are great for the whole family to do & they get you moving. My husband, daughter & I often have a Resort challenge night where we play against each other. It's great fun. Keep dancing!!!!
