I like most have battled weight all my life. I’ve done Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Adkins, South Beach, etc. I would lose 20-30 pounds just to gain it back & then some. I had my appendix removed when I was a teenager but had complications and long story short lost the ability to bare children. Once I was married we tried several In-vitro cycles but it wasn’t in my cards. I was quite depressed and ate to cover my pain…

Then in 2007 after 12 years of marriage my husband left me, more depression so I ate to cover my pain. I met a wonderful man in 2009 and we were married in June of that year. Not only did I get a loving husband but I also got a step daughter (I could finally be the parent I so wanted to be). That didn’t work out as planned. My step daughter has a mother that would do anything and everything to make sure she hated her new step mom. The stress of this caused more eating…..
I then started having more & more health issues, High blood pressure, pre-diabetic, pain in my feet when I walked, unable to walk up a flight of stairs without gasping for air. I was miserable. I had to do something.

After a lot of research I chose the band. Another hurdle was no insurance coverage so this had to come from my own pocket. Best $10k I’ve ever spent!
I have lost 80 pounds, 6 pant sizes and I feel great. I have a wonderful marriage; my husband is my biggest cheerleader. And as for my step daughter, I love her to death (on her terms). I don’t push myself on her and I am finding that she is turning to me more & more. Things are looking good!!!
