I use the weight scale as a positive motivator. When I see no loss or very little, I just accelerate myself more. I know I will win if I keep my positive attitude. Best wishes

Yay! Scheduled For Aug 24Th
Rojasanoll replied to Michele1975's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, that's great news. The two of you together going through this journey. It should be easier because the food s you eat will be similar and you will create energy to keep each other going down this path. Exercising together, like a buddy sytem makes it more enjoyable. The time will go by in no time. Best wishes. -
400's, 300's, Now Finally 200's!!
Rojasanoll replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations! This should be an inspiration to lot's of forum members that exercising, dieting and WLS does work when we all put on minds into it. -
I've seen some Youtube band surgeries and I didn't think they were gross at all. I've weighed my health, my obese condition and general health for a long future. I'm willing to accept some discomfort for a few days or weeks rather then the health outcome if I continue on my past. Just my 2 cents.

Did You Keep Your Surgery A Secret?
Rojasanoll replied to KanesMom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have told a few people and my immediate family (sister, mom, dad). 90% are for it and wish for me to succeed. A few were negative of a foreign object in my body, surgery, and discomfort to me. I told them I can handle any pain and I will be healthier for my family and for my friends. Band date is Aug 6. -
Remember, the less carbs you eat a greater weight loss.

Prayers on your continued future journey. -
Welcome to this great forum with active members who are discussing their problems/life experiences and information. You will like this forum very much. You can pick up lots of information quickly from the membership then weigh this against your doctors. It's easier to talk with people here who have gone through this. I have picked up tidbits ob how to adapt to having the band here on this forum. You are doing the right thing in trying to become a healthier person, now and for the future. It's nice to see another Cali person on this forum. I live outside of Santa Barbara. Best wishes Mike.

Should I Change Surgeon Only Weeks Before Surgery Date?
Rojasanoll replied to Kiwichick42's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My dietian asked me why I wanted the lapband during my visit with her, 1 month prior to even seeing my surgeon. She agreed with me and even on a stomach model showed me the lapband. Of course she didnt know that my sister works for Allergan (one of the U.S. makers of the band). So, I had enough information ahead of time. When Dr. Thoman asked me which one I was interested in, I said Lapband. And he agreed 100% and then explained why at my age (way way over 39) it was a positive and safe solution. If you don't feel comfortable with your surgeon and his explanation, move on and bite the bullet on money spent. It's only your life you are worrying about. A surgeon will get paid no matter what choice. I'm due for the Band on Aug. 6. Good luck -
That is great news, China 3. Congratulations on your new beginning.

About 5 years ago right beofre my Atkins diet. Ive been on a yo-yo up n down all my life. Early this year, my sister gave me lots of information on lapband. She works for Allergan and I saw impressive results overall. So, I can hardly wait to be banded, Aug 6.
