Rojasanoll replied to Conley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How about those hydration packs that are worn by bikers. I think you can adjust the amount. http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=3400551 -

Since I'm part of a Range Safety Launch Team here at Vandenberg AFB, on missile Launches we dress up in dark suits. So, I will wait until I lose excessive weight before I purchase any of my suits. There on sale are still to expensive to buy 1 or 2 sizes. So I must wait. On my lesure shirts I have 2 sizes smaller already. Have a great day shopping.

Didnt Lose The Pre Op 10 Pounds:-(
Rojasanoll replied to lv2nurse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You need to walk more and longer in the next 3 days, this might let you lose 3 more pounds. Mow the lawn, pull weeds in the yard, paint a fence. Watch what you eat. Many protein shakes and SF popsicles. -

Study: Almost 50% Of Lap Band Patients Had The Band Removed - Is This True ?
Rojasanoll replied to marketingdude's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And most of us here on this forum (way over 151 persons) have tried different diets in the past and I'm sure way over 50% failed in keeping weight off. Read the article and then agree or disagree. So, be positive, no matter what the studies indicate. Best wishes -
I agree!. The fact that your weight is going down is the blessing. And even if it's 1 or 2 pds of fat, it's going down. That's what we are here for, weight loss. Your clothes still fit a little better. Keep up what you're doing. Be positive always! Best wishes

Don't Weigh Myself?!?!?!?!?!
Rojasanoll replied to melissamiranda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Guess I'm different from most. I do weigh myself everyday and check up or down, then I assess what I ate or drank the day before. It's a way for me to monitor myself. But I don't feel bad if I've gained a pound because I know if its Water weight or carb intake by reviewing food activity. The weight scale is my personal trainer on checking on myself daily. I didn't do this before and that's why I'm overweight. Best wishes to all. My band date is Aug 6. -

Slowly Losing But Losing All The Same!
Rojasanoll replied to Nyt's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations! On weight loss, it is slow for periods then fast then slow on what I'm reading. Some people lose quickly and other's are slower. I figures after Im banded Aug 6 as long as I'm losing and not gaining I will be okay. It took me a long time to be overweight so it will be a long process to lose all the weight I want. -

Study: Almost 50% Of Lap Band Patients Had The Band Removed - Is This True ?
Rojasanoll replied to marketingdude's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I read this article and my sister works for Allergan and I have had the priveledge to read other lab studies from Allergan that my sister was allowed to check out for me. What this article didn't say is that a good percentage of the people who chose or had to remove lapband would have prematurely died because of their obesity. So I look at you take a chance and live 12 extra years with the Band. None of the diets out there are guaranteed to work so why not try the Band. -
Things You Wish You Had Done Pre-Op...
Rojasanoll replied to Crystal927's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found lots of real chicken soups broth at Fresh N Easy grocery store and also Trader Joes that taste homemade and in cleare state. They also have beef noodle clear brith and a shrimp broth. Very tasty.
