Just remember its about YOU and your health. YOU come first! Do it for YOU! It's the best decision I ever made in trying to control my weight and making myself healthier. I've always YO-YO on diets and gained it all back. Whatever type of surgery you pick, if you work at losing weight and eating better and proper foods, You will lose weight. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.

Need To Know For My Comfort....
Rojasanoll replied to SanslastChance's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I picked a surgeon here in Santa Barbara Ca, that had NO bedside manners but was a great surgeon. Since surgery, my decision of him hasn't changed at all. Dr. Thoman is a great surgeon! -

Pus Pocket Underneath Surgery Scar?
Rojasanoll replied to newskinnygal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hydrogen Peroxide is better than alcohol. But you should contact your doctor. I used my cellphone camera and took a picture and sent it to my doctors office. This saved me an hour one way trip. My redness went away after awhile. -
No Coffee !!! Or Gum
Rojasanoll replied to livelife4me's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was given mixed signals prior to lapband surgery. My dietitian said NO coffee, so I didn't drink coffee up to surgery. On my first post op visite with my surgeon, he said I could drink coffee. So, I'm back on 1 cup of regular coffee. I guess some believe the coffee ingridients might stimulate people into eating more. As for gum, I never was a gum chewer. Best wishes -

I wouldn't try the exercise bike unless you contact your doctor. Might pull on the lower adomen where they installed the port. Please call your doctors office first. Just light walks outside and often would be good. Or around the block if you feel up to it. Maybe a family member can walk with you. My gas was overnight only because of all the walking I did do and the heating pad that I used during the day. Best wishes -
What Can I Expect Come Morning, I'm Sick With A Cold???
Rojasanoll replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try and stay on liquids, light Soups & Protein shakes, SF popsicles, SF jelly while you pass your sickness. I took mucinex dm during my sniffles and it helped me 200 percent. I notice a liquid form of Mucinex DM that might make it easier to take. I cut my Mucinex pills in half to swallow them. Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. -
Lap Band Brand~ How Many Cc's Brought You To Your "sweet Spot"?
Rojasanoll replied to Banderina's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I only had one fill for 1.5cc. The surgeon pre-filled during band surgery of 1.5cc. So I only have 3cc in a 14cc Allergan omni band. Mt second fill is scheduled on Oct 30. He will probably put another 1.5cc in the band. I will probably have 1 or 2 more fills after Oct 30. -
Best wishes on the band date. You will be a new YOU!
-
Best wishes to you and the band. Love my band!

I eat cooked celery in my soups all the time. No problems.

Why Do I Feel Stuck In My Chest Instead Stomach
Rojasanoll replied to Kristie_melvin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Or you might have a Hiatal hernia right under the breast bone. -
Congratulations on your great weight loss. A steady decrease in weight is the WTG.

You'll love your new journey after the date. Drink plenty of Water and practice Sipping the water. Have a heating pad ready, SF popsicles, SF jelly. I'm lazy and purchased my SF stuff from Walmart. Good cheap prices. Follow any doctors directions on what he/she wants you to do prior to surgery. If no directions, my docotr wanted me on liquids only 24 hours prior to surgery date and no blood thinners (aspirin, motrin type products) 10 days prior to the date. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.

Remember to take short walks indoors if you can't walk outdoors around your house. It helps with any trapped gas in your body cavity. SIP lots of Water, ice chips and you can have a SF popsicle. Keep your meds as directed. You will each day do better and after a week not remember all the discomfort and worries that you have taken so far. Best wishes and Keep the Faith. -
Nonfat greek yogurts, beans, protein shakes.

Mylanta or Tums chewables.

How Many Months Post Did It Take To Hit The -50Lbs Mark :)
Rojasanoll replied to diamante's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I hit it in four months. But 6 sounds about right. I lost 34 pounds in 2 months on Protein shakes and a light dinner salad before surgery (Aug6) And 24 pounds the last 2 months after the band. Everybody loses weight differently, and remember its loss, not gaining. So everybody wins!. -
Keep up your good work habits. Congratulations.

When And How Do You Take Your Vitamins?
Rojasanoll replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Take mine in the morning with a protein shake, then take an additional calcium & multivitamin 2 hours prior to going to bed. -
You have to be hungry enough for the "will" to work all the time. If you don't "want" it enough, the "will" will never work. very good article. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.
