Lot's of new positions to try out! Don't deprive yourself.

The best thing I have ever decided on is the band and a better quality of health. I've lost 60 pounds, 34 pounds prior to surgery and 26 pounds since my band date of Aug 6. I'm happy with band and what it has provided to me. I count calories daily and try and register what I put in my mouth. Protein first, then the rest. I'm not a big exercise person, maybe 2 times a week, treadmill and air resistance bike. If only I could persuade my brain to exercise more, I would probably have 75 pounds off me. Oh well, at least I'm losing and I've only had one fill of 1.5cc for a total of 3cc. My Allergan band is a 14cc band. And I have my second fill scheduled next week on October 30.

Better to lose the weight and be healthy, then to worry about the lose skin. Best wishes on your journey.

Feeling healthy is the best. Back aches, leg cramps and others go away with weight loss. So for me, weight loss is first, then the size will eventually get smaller.

Wow, a year! Congratulations and best wishes. You are on your road to a new journey beginning.

Hang in there. You will be okay soon.

You are doing good by not eating lots of bad foods. I drank Protein shakes Breakfast and lunch then a small dinner salad and lost 34 pounds prior to my band date. The doctor wanted me to lose 12 pounds. My food intake now after the band is about 1200 calories and I'm down close to 60 pounds off. Keep up your hard work and it will pay big dividends to you and your weight control. Ba Patient!

When Did You Start Seeing Serious Results?
Rojasanoll replied to dj112's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's a slow process to lose weight properly. Maintain a positive attitude on your new journey. Slow with everything and then build your exercise up a bit each week. Watch what you eat and log all food you put in your mouth. You must know what you're eating and the calories of each item. Best wishes and Keep the Faith. -
I've only had one fill and I didn't feel it.

Prayer's for the two of you. Hugs

First Consultation Tomorrow!!
Rojasanoll replied to stephieos's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pay attention and be honest with your self. -
Put your heating pad on your back and shoulders to alleviate gas. Sip water and walk indoors. Keep taking meds but be careful since you stated the meds make you drowsy.

It's about a better and healthier YOU!. You can be a better person and have more energy if you control your weight. Some people will be against what you are doing, let them and stay on your journey. It's a waste of time to try and persuade someone about your choice of weight control. Stay on your track, no matter what surgery you have and follow directions given to you by your doctor. If it's personal support you need from a spouse, tell him to help support your journey in being healthy. We all want to be healthy and not a burden to anyone. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.

You will need several fills for the band to restrict the stomach. You still have to make wise and healthy choices to have good weight control. The band can't do it's job if you eat anything you want. It's about good long term health. Get back on track! Best wishes

Welcome to this great forum. Your surgery date is not that far away. Just follow your doctors orders prior to surgery. Your liver must not be enlarged. It makes it easier for your doctor. Drink plenty of water to give you a full sensation. Crystal light works well and has a nice flavor. Best wishes

Pre Op Liquid Diet People
Rojasanoll replied to thinkt2013's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It will be over very soon. Then on with a new YOU in weight and in health. -
I cut the larger pills in half to make it a bit easier with lots of water to swallow. The rest of my pills are vitamins/minerals which are all chewable.

It's a lot of hard work to lose weight and then try and mantain it. When I get stuck in losing weight, I go back to my Protein shakes and light dinner salad for a few days. Fortunately, it helps get me back on track. A combination of some exercise and a change in eating habits work for me. I try and write everything that I eat, daily. Best wishes

Congratulations, now the fun begins.

1 Day Of Mushies = 1.5 Lbs Gained :(
Rojasanoll replied to diamante's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Write everything down you stick in your mouth, daily. Asess the carbs and calories in eac h food type. Stay away from the higher carbed foods. You will eventually start losing weight slowly. Remember, it took you a long time to gain the weight and it will take a long time to lose it correctly by naking good food choices. Any of us can starve ourselfs for a few and see our weight loss. It's better to re learn how to eat. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.
